CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Junior College transfer Elliot Lowndes signed with the Southeast Missouri men's basketball program.
Lowndes stands at 7'0", 220, and is from nearby Cobden, Illinois. He played the last two years at John A. Logan College, which captured the 2023 NJCAA National Championship. Lowndes started 25 of 30 games and averaged 10.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for the Vols a year ago. He also finished with 105 blocks. As a freshman in 2022-23, he saw action in 35 games off the bench scoring 3.6 points per game helping lead JALC to a 33-2 record.
"Elliot was at the top of the country in blocked shots this past season and is an area we needed to address," said Korn. "His agility skill set and motor are rare for someone his size. He will be able to impact both ends of the floor having been groomed in high school and under the guidance of Coach [Kyle] Smithpeters at John A. Logan."
