
Baseball Drops Game Two Saturday Afternoon

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri Baseball (20-19, 9-5 OVC) fell in game two of the series at Tennessee Tech (24-15, 9-5 OVC) by a final score of 10-2 from Bush Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Redhawks registered seven hits as a team but could only get two runs across led by Caleb Corbin and Josh Cameron who had two hits apiece in the ball game. Cameron finished 2-for-3 with a double and Corbin, who started at third base and was shifted to second base later in the contest, was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles.
RHP Sam Heyman (3-3) was given the loss in the contest as he allowed six runs on seven hits.
Tech got on the scoreboard first with a first-inning grand slam by Nicho Jordan put the Golden Eagles up 4-0 after the first frame.
A two-RBI double in the second inning made it 6-0 TTU as the Redhawks were held scoreless until the seventh inning.
Trailing 10-0 in the seventh, SEMO got on the board with an RBI double to left field by first baseman Bryce Cannon to make it 10-1.
A throwing error on a line drive out off the bat of Michael Mugan plated the second run of the day for the Redhawks, as Chance Resetich came into score.
Tech would hold on for the 10-2 victory and force a series-deciding Sunday. Afternoon in Cookeville. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m., CT. at Bush Stadium.
