Gymhawks Return to Columbia for Second Time on Sunday
Southeast Missouri Gymnastics will return to Columbia, Mo. on Sunday, March 10, to compete in the Missouri Quad-Meet. Competition is slated to begin at 1 p.m., CT. at the Hearnes Center.

Who's There?
Two top 20 teams will feature in Sunday's competition as No. 13 Missouri will host the Redhawks for the second time this season. No. 11 Denver will take part in the Missouri Quad-Meet, and rounding out the competition are the New Hampshire Wildcats at No. 46, eight spots ahead of SEMO (No. 54).Â

Earlier This Season
Most recently, the Redhawks battled with Denver in the Mile-High City on Sunday, February 11, at the Denver Tri-Meet. SEMO took third place with a score of 194.675 as Denver won their home meet with a score of 197.775.Â

SEMO Gymnastics kicked off the 2024 campaign at Missouri's Quad-Meet where they registered a 192.775 and took third place. The Tigers, ranked in the top 10 at the time, recorded a 197.150 and won the meet.Â

Regular Season Wrap-Up
The Gymhawks have two remaining regular season meets to gear up for the 2024 Midwest Independent Conference Championship Meet in St. Charles, Mo. Following Sunday's meet, the team will head to Urbana-Champaign, Ill. for the University of Illinois Quad-Meet for the regular season finale.Â

Last Time Out
SEMO Gymnastics last competed last Sunday at the Nebraska Quad-Meet where they took third place with a 194.375, beating fellow MIC-member Illinois State (193.650). Nebraska finished in first place with a score of 197.125 as North Carolina took second with a 195.200.

All-Arounders
Lydia Webb and
Taylor Ingle placed fourth and fifth in the all-around category with final scores of 39.050 and 38.875, respectively.

FloorÂ
The Redhawks started the meet off on the floor with their best score of 48.750.

In spot two, freshman
Jordan Napolitano turned in a score of 9.725.
Â
Sydney Crouch and Ingle registered scores of 9.650.
Â
The top two scores for the Redhawks came at the end of the rotation from Webb (9.800) and
Madison Greene (9.825).

At the end of rotation one, SEMO trailed Nebraska (48.950), Illinois State (49.150), and North Carolina (48.950).

Vault
The Redhawks would turn in a score of 48.475 behind the top score from
Ailey Kuehn. The sophomore led the Redhawks with a score of 9.750.

With a score of 9.700, Napolitano, and
Janelle Lopez placed second and third for the Redhawks in spots three and five, respectively.Â

Ingle, Webb, and Greene all scored in the 9.6's. Ingle began the rotation recording a 9.650, while Webb and Greene ended the vault rotation with scores of 9.600 and 9.675.

The Redhawks moved to the third rotation in fourth place with a running score of 97.225.

Bars
Freshman Ava Johnson recorded a 9.675 score to begin the third rotation for the Gymhawks.

At spots two and three, Ingle turned in a score of 9.700 as Hamilton notched a 9.725, her third best score on the uneven bars this season.

Webb posted her third highest bars score of the year in spot four. The senior's stellar routine tied for seventh on the bars rotation for the entire meet (9.825).

At spot five,
Janelle Lopez scored a 9.700 while Crouch notched her season high on the bars in the last spot with a 9.750.

The Redhawks scored a 48.700 during rotation three, putting their total at 145.925. SEMO was behind Nebraska (147.675), Illinois State (147.000), and North Carolina (146.675).

Beam
The fourth and final routine was anchored by Ingle. The sophomore scored a 9.875 to tie for first during the meet at spot four.

Webb also had a good routine, scoring 9.825 at spot five for her third highest mark of the season on the beam.

Chodon beat her previous season best of 9.700 with her 9.775.
Â
Napolitano placed third for the Redhawks with a final score of 9.800.

After the final rotation SEMO moved into third by recording a 48.450 on the balance beam.

Scouting the Opponent
Missouri
The Tigers enter the meet ranked 13th in the nation with a 8-5 (2-5 SEC) overall record. Most recently they fell to #12 Arkansas, 197.650 to 197.525.

Graduate student Sienna Schreiber scored the fifth perfect 10 in program history on the beam. Schreiber also scored a season-best vault (9.875) for first and tied a career-best on floor (9.925) to notch a career high in all around (39.650) for first as well.

Amari Celestine also scored a 9.875 on the vault to place first and Hollyn Patrick's season-best bars performance of 9.925 earned the event title.Â
Â
Freshman Kennedy Griffin and junior Jocelyn Moore each secured a share of the floor title with a score of 9.950.

Mizzou ranks 10th in the vault, 12th on the bars, 19th on the beam, and eighth on the floor.

MU scores an average of 197.108 total points with a season high 197.525.

Denver
The Pioneers placed first in their most recent meet against San Jose State, Lindenwood, and Air Force with a total score of 198.025.

DU ranks 11th in the nation with a 15-2 (4-2 Big 12) overall record, collecting three Big 12 Conference Weekly Honors from the meet.

Senior Jessica Hutchinson was named Big 12 co-Gymnast of the Week for scoring a 10.000 on the floor and posting a winning all-around score of 39.725.

Junior Momoko Iwai captured Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week honors with scores of 9.975 on beam and 9.950 on floor for first and second in the events.

Freshman Madison Ulrich collected her fifth Big 12 Newcomer of the Week award for a 9.925 on the floor and the bars to win both events.

Hutchinson is the highest ranked individual for Denver averaging a total score of 39.647 with a season best 39.825.

New Hampshire
The Wildcats come into the meet with a 16-10 (1-2 EAGL) overall record, placing third at the Yale Quad meet most recently with a score of 194.525.

Junior Alyssa Beaulieu tied for team-high scores on balance beam and floor with two 9.825 scores.
Â
Sophomore Serena Mullin also notched a 9.825 on the beam and freshman Anne Challman equaled that score on the floor as well.

UNH ranks 46th in the nation with a season best score of 195.875 and an average score of 194.955.
Â
The cats have high scores of 49.125 on the vault, 49.275 on the beam, 49.000 on the beam, and 49.300 on the floor.

The highest ranked wildcat is Kylie Gorgenyi (41st). The all-around gymnast posts average scores of 9.830 on the vault, 9.873 bars, 9.532 beam, and 9.853 for the floor routine.
