Redhawks Head to Evansville Wednesday
Southeast Missouri Baseball (7-10) will head back on the road on Wednesday, March 13, when they take on Missouri Valley Conference-member, Evansville (7-8) in Evansville, Ind. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m., CT. from Charles H. Braun Stadium.Â

Series History
SEMO & Evansville will meet for the 38th time Wednesday night on the diamond, and the first of two meetings in 2024. Evansville will make the return trip to Cape Girardeau, Mo. on April 30. Last season, the two met twice as the road team won each matchup. The Purple Aces came to Cape Girardeau and escaped with a 14-8 win on March 1, 2023. SEMO would return to Evansville and take game two of the season-series by a final score of 10-4. Last year's matchup marked the first meeting(s) since 2009.Â

SEMO Baseball wrapped up their three-game road series at Sun Belt Conference Member, Marshall, over the weekend as the Thundering Herd took the final two games of the series to win it, 2-1.Â

The Redhawks drew first blood in the series with a six-run, go-ahead ninth inning to take game one, 6-3. Marshall took a 3-0 lead into the Redhawks' ninth inning. Short stop

Marshall stormed back in game two, winning the game 7-5, behind a five-run sixth inning with the Redhawks winning 3-0.Â

The Purple Aces are led by head coach Wes Carroll who is in his 16th season at the helm of Evansville Baseball. UE comes into the midweek matchup with a 7-8 record overall and most recently dropped all three games of a weekend series at Southeastern Conference-member, Mississippi State this past weekend. Heading into last weekend, UE's offense ranked among the nation's best offensively, ranked in the top 15 in five categories. They were second in doubles (41), sixth in hits (152), ninth in batting average (.345), 13th in on-base percentage (.454), and 13th in scoring (10.4). The Aces are 4-1 at Charles H. Braun Stadium this season and most recently took three-out-of-four from Purdue Fort Wayne at home.Â
