DENVER, Colo. – Southeast Missouri Gymnastics placed third at Sunday's Denver Tri-Meet with a final score of 194.675 competing with two members of the Big 12 conference, Iowa State and Denver. The Cyclones posted a score of 195.800 for second place, while Denver won the meet with a final score of 197.775.
Senior
Lydia Webb competed in the all-around category for the Redhawks and took third overall with a 39.250.
Taylor Ingle also competed in the all-around for SEMO, posting a 38.875 for fifth place on Sunday afternoon.
Madison Greene tied for third overall on the Floor for the Redhawks. The Crestwood, Ky.-native turned in a 9.850 with Denver's Madison Ulrich and Rylie Mundell, and Iowa States Noelle Adams and Emilie Hong.
Beam
The Redhawks began the afternoon on the Beam, where they would turn in a team score of 48.625 after the first rotation. The trio of
Taylor Ingle,
Lydia Webb, and
Anna Speller anchored the Beam lineup.
Ingle, in spot four, turned in a 9.800.
Lydia Webb led the rotation turning in a 9.850, following a 9.750 on Friday night.
Anna Speller, who anchored the lineup for the second straight meet, turned in a 9.700.
Sophomore
Anna Chodon got the competition started, registering a 9.700 for her second-straight meet from the leadoff spot.
The Redhawks were in third place after the first rotation, after Iowa State and Denver posted a 48.650 and 49.350, respectively.
Floor
SEMO would move to the floor for the second rotation on Sunday afternoon, posting a score of 48.950 after beginning the rotation with four-straight 9.750s and closed with two-straight 9.850s.
Sophomore
Kailyn Hamilton,
Jordan Napolitano,
Sydney Crouch, and
Taylor Ingle all recorded 9.750s to start the rotation.
Senior
Lydia Webb and
Madison Greene closed out the rotation very solid with back-to-back 9.850s to push SEMO's running score to 97.575.
Going to the third rotation, SEMO was in second place over Iowa State (97.350) and just behind Denver (98.825) who was leading after two rotations.
Vault
The Gymhawks continued their strong Vault rotation on Sunday afternoon, turning in a team score of 48.850. Led by
Madison Greene with a 9.850, the Redhawks closed the rotation with three-striaght scores of 9.750 or higher.
For Greene, the 9.850 was her second-highest score of 2024, trailing only her 9.875 at the Tennessee Collegiate Classic (1/19).
Lydia Webb registered a 9.800 in spot four, while
Janelle Lopez followed that up with a 9.750 in spot five.
Ailey Kuehn and
Jordan Napolitano tunred in back-to-back 9.725s in spots two and three, respectively. For both gymnasts, their 9.725 was their second-straight after posting an identical score of Friday night.
After the third rotation, SEMO trailed Denver by a total of 148.225-146.425 and Iowa State 146.650-146.425.
Bars
The Redhawks concluded the weekend on the Bars, for the first time all season, with an overall team score of 48.250.
Lydia Webb, competing in the all-around, posted a team-high 9.750 from spot four to lead the way for SEMO.
Sophomore
Taylor Ingle, who also competed in the all-around Sunday, posted a 9.650 and was followed by fellow sophomore
Kailyn Hamilton who turned in a 9.650 from spot three.
A late addition to the Bars lineup,
Janelle Lopez picked up a 9.625 in spot five of the rotation.
Freshman
Ava Johnston and sophomore
Sydney Crouch opened and closed the lineup for the Redhawks. Johnston led off and posted a 9.575. Crouch anchored the lineup and turned in a 9.450 as the Redhawks concluded the night with a 194.675.
Looking Ahead
The Gymhawks will be back in action next Friday, Feb. 16, when they host the final meet of the regular season at Houck Field House. SEMO will host Illinois State and Fisk at 6:30 p.m., CT. in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
