
Redhawks Compete at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional This Week

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri tennis team will head to Murfreesboro Tennessee to compete at the 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division I Central Regional Championship this week.
The Tournament is scheduled Oct. 10-13 at the Adams Tennis Complex with each day starting at 9:00 a.m., CT.
Kristina Kozakova, Juliette Demunck, Mia Mayerová will be competing in the Blue Raider singles draw. The round of 64 Blue Raider draw will begin on Thursday.
Lera Valeeva earned a bid in the qualifying singles draw which will begin on Thursday morning.
Sophomore Maja Bajorek earned an automatic spot into the ITA Central Regional main singles draw. The main draw round of 64 will begin Friday.
In singles play so far this fall, Demunck is undefeated with a 5-0 record. Kozakova is not far behind, only dropping one match this fall with a 4-1 record.
On the doubles side, Valeeva will be teaming up with Kozakova for the tournament and Bajorek will be competing with Mayerová.
Valeeva and Kozakova have a 3-0 record this fall when playing together. Bajorek and Mayerová's record is 5-1.
The doubles bracket is scheduled to start on Friday.
As a team this fall, SEMO is 14-7 in singles and 11-1 in doubles play.
After the ITA tournament the Redhawks will conclude their fall schedule at the Stetson Invitational on Nov. 1-2 in Deland, Florida.
