MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Southeast Missouri tennis ends the Tennessee Fall Intercollegiate Tournament with three champions at the Adams Tennis Complex. During day two of the tournament the Redhawks went 4-2 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles play.

SEMO had three athletes in the singles finals and both of their doubles squads won their respective flights.

Overall won singles Flight C, had two finalists in singles Flight B, had two semifinalists in singles Flight A, and won Doubles Flights A and B. 

Champions
Kristina Kozakova defeated Dandu from Christian Brothers College in the finals of Flight C. Kozakova won in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.

Mia Mayerová and Maja Bajorek beat Chang and Odajima from UT Southern 6-4 in Flight A  to claim their second doubles title this fall.

In the doubles final of Flight B, Kozakova and Juliette Demunck blanked Vergara and Kirkly(UTS) 6-0 to win their flight championship.

In the singles finals of Flight B Demunck and Mayerová did not play each other and for the third place match of singles Flight A, Lera Valeeva and Bajorek did not play each other. 

Semifinals 
In the semi finals, Kozakova rolled past Housley from Blue Mountain Christian. Kozakova won in straight sets winning 6-0, 6-2

Demunck destroyed her semifinal opponent Chang (UTS) 6-0, 6-1 and advanced to her second straight fall tournament finals match.

Mayerová advanced to her first finals match after she defeated UT Southern's Sanches in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.

Valeeva and Bajorek fell in the semifinals. Valeeva lost 3-6, 5-7 to Zemtsova from Christian Brothers University. Bajorek won her first set 6-3, then lost the last two sets 3-6, 6-10 against Chaphalker from Middle Tennessee State. 

The Southeast Missouri Tennis team is back in Murfreesboro next week from Oct. 10-13 to compete at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional.
