Eastman Leads the Redhawks at the John McNichols Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Eastman leads Southeast Missouri Cross Country team placing sixth in the women's 6000-meter at the John McNichols Invitational. The SEMO women finished with seven new personal bests while the men finished with two.

SEMO Men
Noah Little finished first for the SEMO men. Little crossed the line at 25:08.3 for a new personal best and 41st place.

The Freshman Cade McCadams finished second for SEMO. McCadams crossed the finish line in 26:03.0 finishing in 80th place. 

With a time of 27:37.2 Aaron Modrow finished in 120th in the 8000-meter.

The sophomore Louis Primeau crossed the line at 27:44.5 for 125th.

Seth Gleason and Justin Splitt finished back to back. Gleason posted a time of 26:28.6 while split ran the race in 26:33.9.

Garrett Dumke earned a new PR when he crossed the finished line at 25:50.1.

Micah Grawer finished with a time of 27:25.4, running his first 8000-meter of his college career. 

SEMO Women
Hannah Eastman finished first for the SEMO women placing sixth overall. Eastman finished with a time of 17:35.5 which earned her a new personal best.

Taylor Fox notched a time of 18:21.9 for a new personal record. Fox finished the 5k in 28th place.

The freshman Brooklyn Bender ran her first 5k in 19:02.8 for 48th.

Madelyn Gray beat her personal best by five seconds when she ran the race in 18:41.4 for 72nd.

Alayna Sparr and Layla Fliege both earned a new personal best. Fliege crossed the line at 18:53.9 and Sparr finished with a time of 19:46.8.

Sarah Russom and Lexie Dockstader recorded times of 19:30.1 and 19:44.8. Russom finished in 113th and a new PR, Dockstader placed 125th.

Crossing the line at 20:06.1 Kayla Vogelsang notched a new personal record and 134th place.

Haley Smith finished the race in 20:19.5 and Mackenzie Pugh finished a couple seconds behind Smith with a time of 20:21.4.

Looking ahead
The Redhawks will be headed to Columbia, Missouri to compete in the Gans Creek Classic in two weeks. The meet will be held at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course on Friday, September 29. The men's 8000-meter is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. with the women's 6000-meter starting at 9:45 a.m.
