Redhawks Host Southern Illinois Tuesday Night at Capaha Field
Southeast Missouri (22-19, 11-4 OVC) returns to Capaha Field for a midweek battle with rival Southern Illinois (23-16, 10-4 MVC) on Tuesday, April 25. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m., CT. 
 
Fill The Hill Tuesday
'Fill the Hill'  is back for Tuesday's midweek matchup. Complimentary adult beverages will be provided by Kohlfield Distributing to anyone 21+ with a valid I.D.  
 
Coolers are also allowed on Tuesday for fans wanting to bring their own drinks to the stadium. Fans are welcome to bring their own coolers stocked with their favorite beverages to the ballpark for a nominal fee at the gate. Cost is $10 for any size cooler. Coolers may contain beverages only as outside food is prohibited. 
 
The Organist, Jeremy Boyer
Long-time St. Louis Blues organist and SEMO alumni Jeremy Boyer will be making his return to Capaha Field for the first time since 2007. 
 
Boyer will be live on the organ in the Capaha Park Press Box where you will hear his music throughout the ballgame. 
 
Jimmy Johns
There will be free Jimmy Johns sandwiches provided to fans on Tuesday night while supplies last. Get to the park early to pick up your free sandwich courtesy of Jimmy Johns. 
 
Series History
The Redhawks and Salukis will meet for the 93^rd time on Tuesday night, and for the second time this season. 

The Salukis maintain a 61-30-1 advantage in the all-time series, winning the previous matchup by a final score of 8-5 in Carbondale, Ill. On April 7. 

Last Weekend
The Redhawks most recently went to Morehead State for a three game series to continue Ohio Valley Conference play.
 
SEMO dropped game one on Friday afternoon by a final score of 13-6. Josh Cameron hit home runs 11 & 12 and finished the day going 2-for-4 with three RBIs. 
 
The Redhawks took game two on Saturday in 11 innings as catcher Nolan Ackerman hit a go-ahead RBI single to right field in the top of the 11th to give SEMO a 10-9 lead. 
 
Pinch-hitter Caleb Rodgers hit a sacrifice fly to give SEMO its 11th run of the game to hold on for an 11-9 victory, setting up Sunday's rubber match. 
 
The Redhawks got out to a 1-0 lead in Sunday's contest with an RBI base hit by first baseman Lincoln Andrews. But four MSU home runs gave the Eagles a 7-6 victory to move them into first place in the conference. 
 
Danny Sperling, Peyton Leeper, and Jevon Mason all homered in the ballgame. 
 
Ohio Valley Conference Standings
Following the weekend series, the Redhawks are now a game out of first place in the conference table. Morehead State moved into first place and sits at 9-3. 
 
SEMO is in second at an 11-4 mark, while newcomer(s) Little Rock sits in third at 10-5. 
 
SEMO will host Lindenwood this weekend to continue OVC play.
 
Conference Hitting
Jevon Mason, Chance Resetich, and Josh Cameron are all hitting over .400 in OVC action. Mason is hitting .448 with a 1.206 on-base plus slugging percentage. He has started all 15 conference games in left field for the Redhawks.
 
Resetich is hitting .406 with a 1.020 OPS. Cameron sits at .404 and leads the team with nine home runs in conference play alone. The outfielder has driven in 23 RBIs and has a .965 slugging percentage, the highest on the team.
 
12^th In the Country
Southeast Missouri is ranked 12th in division one baseball in the hit-by-pitch category. The Redhawks have been plunked 77 times by opposing pitchers. 
 
Carlos Aranda has been hit a team-high 15 times over the course of the season.
 
Jevon Leads the Conference
Outfielder Jevon Mason currently ranks first overall in the Ohio Valley Conference for hits. Mason, the West Des Moines, Iowa-native, has registered 54 hits over the course of 41 games. 
 
Behind the Plate
Catcher Nolan Ackerman has been steady behind the plate for the Redhawks all season. The junior has gunned down six opposing base stealers on the season. 
 
Teams have only accumulated 15 stolen bases against him all year. 
 
Hernandez Makes First Start
Junior RHP Esteban Hernandez made his first career start on the mound in a SEMO uniform Saturday afternoon against 
Morehead State. Hernandez pitched 5.0 complete innings, allowing just four runs on five hits. 
 
The Yuma, Ariz.-native struck out six hitters over 17 at-bats. 
 
About Southern Illinois
The Salukis come into Tuesday's matchup with SEMO with a 23-16 overall record and a 10-4 record in the Missouri Valley 
Conference.
 
SIU will play the third and final game of their series with #22 Indiana State on Monday, prior to their
visit to Cape Girardeau. SIU dropped the first two games of the series in Terre Haute.
 
The Salukis currently lead all of Division-I baseball with 42 double plays turned and is second in double plays turned per game with a 1.14-mark. 
 
Nathan Bandy (.366) and Pier-Olivier Boucher (.342) rank in the top-10 of the Missouri Valley in average. Steven Loden
currently has 11 home runs and 38 RBIs on the season to lead the Salukis in each category.
 
On the mound, SIU is led by Paul Bonzagni who has a 4.22 ERA over 42.2 innings pitched. 
 
Bonzagni has 33 strikeouts on the season, and ranks second on the team in that category.
Ben Chapman sits in second with a 5.04 ERA, but is first on the team in opposing batting average (.265), innings pitched (44.2), and strikeouts with 36.
