Weather Changes Start Times For Pivotal Weekend Series At Morehead State
Southeast Missouri (21-17, 10-2 OVC) will head to the Bluegrass State to take on Morehead State (22-13, 7-2 OVC) for a weekend series between first and second place in the Ohio Valley Conference. Projected forecasts in the Morehead-area has altered the series start time(s). Friday's first pitch is slated for Noon, CT., followed by Saturday at 3 p.m., CT., and Sunday at Noon, CT.

Series History
The Redhawks and Eagles will meet for the 65th time on Friday night as SEMO maintains a 33-31 series lead over MSU. 
 
Last season SEMO swept the season-series in Cape Girardeau. The series is split 5-5 over the last 10 matchups these two 
have played.
 
Redhawks Sweep Tennessee Tech, Move to First Place in OVC
The Redhawks used strong pitching from LHP Noah Niznik on Friday night to take game one of the series with TTU in a 10-1 rout. 
 
Niznik pitched 7.0 complete innings allowing just one run via a solo home run in the first inning. The lefty finished with 10 strikeouts, tying his season high. 
 
Outfielder Josh Cameron started the game 2-for-2 with two home runs and five RBIs as SEMO cruised in game one. 
 
RHP Kyle Miller, who became the all-time SEMO saves leader, picked up his fourth save of the season in Saturday's 5-4 victory as Jevon Mason hit the go-ahead home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to give SEMO the one-run victory. 
 
 
The Redhawks trailed once again on Sunday and had to come back to pick up an 8-6 win to complete the series sweep. 
 
SEMO scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth to seal the victory. Josh Cameron, Lincoln Andrews, and Peyton Leeper all hit RBI singles to push three across for the win.
 
All-Time Saves Leader: Kyle Miller 
RHP Kyle Miller became SEMO's all-time saves leader after picking up his 14th career save vs. Little Rock(4/1), passing former Redhawk Brad Smith with 13.  
 
Miller picked up saves 15 & 16 of his career against TTU. 
 
Another Big Night For Niznik
Noah Niznik gave up a solo home run to TTU center fielder Nicho Jordan on the second pitch of the game Friday night, then pitched 7.0 shutout innings to defeat TTU.
 
Niznik tied his season-high in strikeouts with 10 and has 60 Ks on the season. 
 
The St. Louis, Mo-native  has started nine games for the campaign and is 5-2 with a 2.61 ERA. 
 
He leads the OVC in strikeouts and is third in ERA.
 
RBI Leaders
Josh Cameron, Chance Resetich, and Lincoln Andrews are in the top-10 in the OVC for RBIs. Cameron, who leads SEMO, sits in second place in the league with 36 RBIs. Resetich is in seventh in the OVC and second on the team with 33. Lincoln Andrews has 31 RBIs and sits ninth in the OVC.
 
Swiping Bases
Jevon Mason and Josh Cameron have each swiped 10 bases on the campaign to lead the Redhawks. 10 steals ties them for ninth in the OVC.
 
Home Run Weekend
The Redhawks hit four home runs over the weekend, including two from Josh Cameron on Friday night. 
 
The lefty pushed his total on the season to 10 to lead the Redhawks and is tied for fourth in the OVC. 
 
Peyton Leeper knocked his fifth homer of the year in Saturday's game, while Jevon Mason hit a go-ahead homer in the sixth for his fourth of the year. 
 
Four Guys Over .300
Jevon Mason leads the clubhouse with a .343 batting average and is fourth in the OVC. Chance Resetich is batting .333 for second on the team and eighth in the OVC. Josh Cameron (.322) and Lincoln Andrews (.308) round-out the top four SEMO hitters.
 
About Morehead State
Morehead State comes into the weekend series in second place in the OVC having dropped their series-finale with Lindenwood on Sunday by a final score of 6-5 in 12 innings. 
 
Most recently, the Eagles beat Bellarmine (4/18) 9-2 to improve to 22-13 on the season. 
 
Jackson Feltner leads MSU with a .360 batting average and has a team-high 45 hits. He is second on the team with 10 home runs. 
 
Ryley Preece is leading the team with a .733 slugging percentage and has scored 45 runs on the season. He also leads the Eagles with 36 RBIs and 13 homers on the season. 
 
John Bakke is the Eagles top pitcher with a 4.67 ERA and opponents are hitting just .259 off of him this season. 
 
Grant Herron has the best opposing batting average with opponents hitting just .238. He currently has a 4.69 ERA. Herron and Bakke are the team leaders in strikeouts with 51 and 45, respectively.
