CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics will be on the road on Friday, Jan. 20, to take part in the 2023 Tennessee Collegiate Classic at the Farm Bureau Expo Center in Lebanon, Tenn.

The competition is slated to begin at 7 p.m., CT. as the Redhawks will face-off with Ball State, Kent State, Lindenwood, and Fisk.

MIC AWARDS
For the second week in a row, a SEMO gymnast has landed on the MIC Weekly Honors list as this week's recipient of the MIC Coaches Choice Award went to Lindsey Moffitt

Moffitt, a Ferris, Texas-native, competed in three events this past weekend for the Redhawks registering a 9.475 on the Bars, a 9.650 on Beam, and a 9.700 floor routine to help lead SEMO to a victory over Greenville and MIC-member Centenary.

She was selected based on her performance and what she has meant to the team this season after being dismissed from the team in 2022. Head Coach Ashley Lawson had high praise for Moffitt saying "Lindsey has made a complete 180 this season and has transformed herself into a better gymnast and leader for the Redhawks".

The Coaches Choice Award is a new award to the conference this season, and Moffitt is the first SEMO-recipient of the honor.
