CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri added infielder Caleb Corbin to its 2024 signing class Thursday.
Corbin, a native of Des Moines, Iowa, transfers to SEMO from Iowa Central Community College. As a freshman in 2022, Corbin was the Tritons' second-leading hitter with a .378 batting average. He started 54 games and led the team in doubles (14) and RBI (63). Corbin boasted a team-leading .532 on-base percentage, as well.
"Caleb is a strong offensive player with elite command of the strike zone," said SEMO Head Coach
Andy Sawyers. "He is a dangerous combination of high on-base percentage with the ability to slug the baseball. Caleb should be an immediate contributor to next year's lineup."
Corbin joins right-handed pitcher Brian Strange, left-handed pitcher Alex Hayes and shortstop Brooks Kettering in the Redhawks 2024 class.
