CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics tallied a season-best team score of 195.150 Friday evening on Senior Night at Houck Field House for third in their tri meet with Illinois State and Lindenwood.
The team-score ranks 10th all-time in SEMO program history and surpasses the previous season-high of 195.050 set on Feb. 26 against Centenary and ISU at the Show Me Center.
For the second time in the last three competitions, SEMO posted marks of 49.000 plus on both of the final two home events. The Redhawks hit a 49.000 on beam, which tied for sixth in the record books. SEMO concluded the evening with a season-best 49.225 on floor, which tied for eighth in school history.
Anna Kaziska and
Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso combined for three titles. The duo tied for first on floor with 9.900. Kaziska posted the top beam score of 9.900 (PR).
Solorzano-Caruso also finished second in the all-around competition with 39.075.
Molly Maxwell competed in the all-around competition for the first time in 2021, finishing with 38.550 for third.
ISU took first with 195.500 and Lindenwood followed in second with 195.375 in the highly competitive tri of Midwest Independent Conference institutions.
SEMO opened Senior Night with a 48.250 on vault. Senior
Gabrielle Adams led the way with a season-best 9.825 for fifth overall at the tri.
Michael Sanders, a senior from St. Simons Island, Georgia, added a 9.700.
Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso (9.600),
Lydia Test (9.575) and
Anna Kaziska (9.550) rounded out the SEMO scorers.
The Redhawks then notched a season-high bars mark of 48.675 in the second rotation.
Jolie Miller tied for third on the event with 9.825. Solorzano-Caruso finished with 9.775 for second on the Redhawks.
Lindsey Bates chipped in a 9.750 and
Lindsey Moffitt compiled a 9.700.
Molly Maxwell had a 9.625.
SEMO then posted a 49.000 on beam in the third event of the night. Kaziska notched a career-best 9.900 in the anchor position. After posting her seventh 9.875 on Feb. 26, Kaziska cracked the balance beam record book standings. She now ranks tied for fifth all-time in program history on the event with 10 other SEMO gymnasts including Solorzano-Caruso and
Ashley Lawson.
Anna Speller, a freshman from St. Louis, Missouri, added a career-best 9.875 for second the event behind Kaziska. Fischer and Solorzano-Caruso each chipped in 9.800s in the first and fifth lineup slots. Maxwell and Miller each added 9.625 to wrap up the SEMO scorers.
The Redhawks then finished Senior Night with a season-best 49.225 on floor. Solorzano-Caruso and Kaziska tied for first on the event with three other gymnasts with back-to-back scores of 9.900 in the final two SEMO lineup spots.
The mark is a new career-best for Solorzano-Caruso.
Jordan Jones, a sophomore from Buford, Georgia, posted a career-high 9.875 in her fourth meet of the 2021 campaign.
Maxwell chipped in a 9.825 and Sanders finished with 9.725. Moffitt tallied a 9.700.

SEMO will next head to Normal, Illinois, for the 2021 MIC Championship on Friday, March 19. First rotation is slated for 3 p.m. in the five-team Championship.
