ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics recorded a 191.725 for fourth out of six teams at the GymQuarters Invitational Friday evening at The Family Arena.
Ball State took first with a 194.275 followed by Eastern Michigan (193.975) and Lindenwood (192.725). Air Force was fifth with 191.400 and Illinois State finished sixth with 190.225.
Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso took second overall in the all-around with a total score of 38.775.
SEMO opened the meet with a 48.375 on beam.
Anna Kaziska paced the Redhawks with a 9.750.
Alana Fischer,
Jolie Miller and
Molly Maxwell all tallied 9.675 in the first, second and fourth SEMO lineup slots.
Anna Speller and
Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso completed the rotation with a pair of 9.600s.
After their first bye, SEMO posted a 47.525 on floor. Kaziska led the way with her second 9.800 this season in her first routine since Jan. 16 at Texas Woman's. The mark tied for second overall at the six-team meet. Solorzano-Caruso added a 9.725.
Michael Sanders chipped in a 9.525 and
Lindsey Moffitt had a 9.475.
In their third event of the night, the Redhawks recorded a 47.325 on vault. Solorzano-Caruso notched a team-high 9.700.
Ashley Albrecht added a 9.525.
Makenzie Marciniak registered a 9.500 and
Gabrielle Adams compiled a 9.450.
SEMO concluded the evening with a 48.500 on bars in the final rotation after the team's second bye.
Lindsey Bates paced the Redhawks with a career-best tying 9.825. Bates received a 9.750 from the first judge and a 9.900 from the second judge for fifth overall at the meet.
Miller tallied a 9.775 for second on the team, followed by Solorzano-Caruso's 9.750.
Alana Fischer added a 9.650 and Albrecht had a 9.500. In her second-straight meet competing on the event, Marciniak chipped in a 9.350.
SEMO next closes its three-competition road-swing at Lindenwood on Feb. 21 in St. Charles, Missouri, at the Hyland Arena. The Redhawks then return to Cape for a double-meet weekend on Feb. 26 and Feb. 28 at the Show Me Center.
