ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics compiled a team score of 194.500 to finish second overall at Lindenwood's Tri Meet Friday evening at the Robert F. Hyland Arena. Host Lindenwood topped the tri with 195.325 and Air Force placed third, totaling 193.175.
Southeast has now registered a team score of 193.000 or higher in five straight meets. Friday's 194.500 is SEMO's second straight mark of 194.000 plus after notching a 194.175 at Centenary on March 1.
Anna Kaziska posted a beam score of 9.825 to tie for the individual event title with Lindenwood's Mackenzy Chavez and Courtney Mitchell.
The Redhawks matched their season-high 48.775 on beam to open the tri meet. Kaziska paced the Redhawks with the top score at the meet.
Jordan Jones was second on the team with a 9.775.
Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso chipped in a 9.750 and
Alana Fischer had a 9.725.
Lindsey Moffitt rounded out the
SEMO scorers with a personal-best 9.700.
Southeast then danced to a mark of a 48.600 on floor in the second rotation. Kaziska led the Redhawks with a 9.850 for third overall at the meet.
Moffitt tallied a 9.800 and Slee hit a 9.775.
Mallory Desch posted a 9.625 and
Molly Maxwell had a 9.550.
In the third rotation, SEMO registered a 48.325 on vault for the second straight competition in 2020.
Gabrielle Adams finished as the runner-up at the meet with a 9.775. Slee posted a 9.725.
Maxwell and Solorzano-Caruso each registered identical 9.650s in the third and anchor Redhawk lineup spots, respectively. Fischer completed the Southeast scorers with a 9.525.
The Redhawks wrapped up the tri with a 48.800 on bars. The mark is the second-highest score for SEMO in 2020. Fischer led the Redhawks with her second career-best 9.800 for third overall at the meet.
Solorzano-Caruso and
Jolie Miller each added scores of 9.775. Jones posted a 9.750 and
Lindsey Bates had a 9.700.
Lindenwood's Ryan Henry won the all-around title with a 39.175. Solorzano-Caruso was second (38.200) and Kaziska finished third (38.050).
Southeast next hosts Centenary on Senior Day at Houck Field House on Friday, March 13 at 3 p.m. The Redhawks then head to Normal, Illinois, for the 2020 Midwest Independent Conference Championship held on the campus of Illinois State on Friday, March 20 at 6 p.m.
