SHREVEPORT, La. – Two days after posting its second-highest team score (195.800) in school history, Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics registered a 194.175 to capture its fifth straight competition victory Sunday at the Gold Dome. Host Centenary finished the dual meet with a season-best 191.875.
Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso placed first on both the bars (9.850) and in the all-around competition (39.100) while
Anna Kaziska won the floor (9.875) and balance beam (9.775) event titles in the third and fourth rotations Sunday.
Kaziska was second in the all-around with a total of 38.550.
Southeast opened the dual with a 48.675 on bars. The Redhawks posted the top three scores at the meet. Solorzano-Caruso's second-straight personal-best score of 9.850 led the way.
Lindsey Bates added a 9.750 in the third SEMO lineup spot for second overall at the meet.
Jolie Miller and
Alana Fischer tied for third at the competition with a pair of 9.725s.
Jordan Jones rounded out the Southeast scorers with a 9.625.
In the second rotation, SEMO compiled a 48.325 on vault. Solorzano-Caruso finished second overall at the meet with a score of 9.750.
Mackenzie Slee notched a 9.700 in the fourth lineup slot for third at the dual.
Kaziska chipped in a 9.675 and Adams hit a 9.625.
Molly Maxwell also registered a 9.575 to complete the Southeast top-five.
SEMO then notched a 48.625 on floor in the third event of the day Sunday. Kaziska paced the Redhawks with a 9.875 to win the event. Solorzano-Caruso added a 9.750 to finish third at the meet while Maxwell tallied a 9.725.
Slee posted a routine of 9.675 and
Lindsey Moffitt had a 9.600.
The Redhawks concluded the dual meet at Centenary with a 48.550 on beam. Kaziska took the top spot at the meet with a 9.775. Solorzano-Caruso finished as the runner-up at the dual with a mark of 9.750 and Jones tied for third overall with 9.725.
Fischer chipped in a 9.675 and Maxwell had a 9.625.
Southeast closes out its three-week road swing with a trip to St. Charles, Missouri, for a tri meet against Air Force and host Lindenwood on Friday, March 6. The Redhawks then host Centenary on Senior Day at Houck Field House on Friday, March 13 at 3 p.m.
