Southeast Missouri star center fielder
Rachel Anderson was ranked 54th among Softball America's Top 100 players for the upcoming 2020 season.
A native of Edwardsville, Illinois, Anderson is the only Ohio Valley Conference player on the nation's elite list. She is a three-time First-Team All-OVCÂ pick and became SEMO's first All-American during the program's NCAA Division I era. Anderson was named the league's Player of the Year in 2019 and garnered OVC Freshman of the Year honors during her rookie season in 2017.
Anderson has started all 167 games of her college career in center field. She enters her senior season with a career batting average of .416 and is part of a club of 126 NCAA Division I softball hitters with a career .400 batting average. Other impressive career numbers for Anderson include 486 at-bats, 202 hits, 124 runs, 33 doubles, 24 triples, 21 home runs, 115 RBI, 80 walks and 50 stolen bases.
SEMO opens its 2020 season at the Troy University Tournament on Feb. 14-16.
