Redhawks Travel to SIU Edwardsville
•    Southeast Missouri (10-20, 6-5) heads to SIU Edwardsville (14-20, 7-5) for three-game series this weekend. SEMO and SIUE will play a single game at 4:30 p.m. Friday and a 1 p.m., CT doubleheader Saturday before the Easter holiday.
•    SEMO plays its next four games on the road.
•    After this weekend's series, the Redhawks go to Saint Louis for a midweek matchup on Apr. 8.

Series Notes
•    SIU Edwardsville holds a 47-36 lead in the all-time series against Southeast Missouri.
•    SEMO is 17-25 vs. SIUE in Edwardsville.
•    The Cougars won four of the last five meetings between the teams.
•    SIUE eliminated SEMO from the 2025 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.
•    The Redhawks claimed a three-game sweep of the Cougars during their last trip to Edwardsville in 2024.    

Redburn vs. SIUE
•    Mark Redburn has faced SIU Edwardsville 33 times in his head coaching career.
•    Redburn is 14-19 against the Cougars.
•    He has a total of four series wins over SIUE (2018, 2021, 2023, 2024).

Four-Game Winning Streak
•    Southeast Missouri carries a season-long four-game winning streak to SIU Edwardsville this weekend.
•    SEMO defeated Southern Indiana, 10-5, on the road and swept Tennessee State three times at home (7-2, 14-4, 9-1) during that stretch.

Weekend Sweep
•    The Redhawks completed their first three-game sweep of the season when they beat Tennessee State by scores of 7-2, 14-4 and 9-1.
•    Southeast Missouri run-ruled the Tigers in five innings in both games of a doubleheader on Mar. 29.
•    It is SEMO's second sweep of an Ohio Valley Conference opponent this year.
•    The Redhawks defeated Western Illinois, 4-3, and 14-2 (five innings) in a doubleheader on Mar. 9. That series was shortened due to inclement weather.

OVC Update
•    Southeast Missouri (6-5) is sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings four weeks into league action.
•    Eastern Illinois (12-0) is atop the leaderboard as the only unbeaten team in OVC games.
•    UT Martin (9-3), Tennessee Tech (9-3), SIU Edwardsville (7-5) and Southern Indiana (7-5) round out the top five.
•    Lindenwood (5-7), Western Illinois (3-8), Morehead State (1-11) and Tennessee State (0-12) are below the Redhawks.
•    EIU is on a 12-game winning streak in league contests.

March is Over
•     The Redhawks ended March on a four-game winning streak.
•    Southeast Missouri went 6-7 overall and 6-5 in the Ohio Valley Conference in March.
•    Aubrie Shore was the most productive for the Redhawks in March, hitting .394 (13-for-33) with six runs, two doubles, six RBI and six walks in 12 starts.

Scoring Increasing
•     Southeast Missouri averaged 10 runs per game in its last four contests.
•    SEMO has outscored its opponents, 40-12, for a +28 margin during that span.
•    The Redhawks scored 10 or more runs on three occasions this season and are 3-0 in those games.

Starting Streak
•     Addy Martinie has started 37-consecutive games dating back to the 2025 season.
•    Martinie is the only player who started every game this year.

Van Haren Eyes 100 Career Strikeouts
•     Willow Van Haren is four strikeouts away from getting 100 in her Southeast Missouri career.
•    Van Haren currently has 96 strikeouts in 121.2 innings through 51 appearances and 20 starts as a Redhawk.
•    She recently tied a career-high seven strikeouts when she beat Tennessee State on Mar. 29.

Shore Chasing Doubles Record
•     Aubrie Shore is tied for third among Southeast Missouri's all-time career leaders with 41 doubles.
•    Shore currently shares that spot with Rachel Anderson (2017-21).
•    She needs seven more doubles to break the school's career record of 47 held by Michelle Summers (2005-08).

Scoring Advantage vs. OVC Foes
•     Southeast Missouri is outscoring Ohio Valley Conference opponents, 63-39 (+14), through 11 league games.
•    SEMO has scored the most in the third (19) and sixth (17) innings during OVC play.
•    The Redhawks outscored Tennessee State, 30-7, in a three-game sweep on Mar. 28-29.

Career Firsts for Branch and Robbins
•     Freshman Summer Branch earned her first career win out of the bullpen in Southeast Missouri's 14-4 victory over Tennessee State (Mar. 29).
•    Branch threw three scoreless innings of one-hit softball. She also struck out two and walked none.
•    Meanwhile, Abby Robbins hit her first career double to knock in two runs in the bottom of the third inning during that game.

Winkler Playing Strong
•    Madison Winkler has hit safely in 15 of her last 19 games. 
•    Winkler also reached base in 33 of her previous 36 contests dating back to May 4, 2025.
•    She got a hit in 23 of her 29 starts this season.
•    She is hitting a team-high .360 and boasts a team-best .398 on-base percentage this season.
•    Winkler also leads the team in RBI (20), triples (1), home runs (2), stolen bases (4) and runs scored (13).

About SIU Edwardsville
•    SIU Edwardsville has lost seven of its last eight games and returns to Edwardsville after dropping its series at UT Martin, 2-1, on Mar. 28-29.
•    SIUE has been shutout 11 times this season.
•    As a team, the Cougars are hitting .237 through 34 games.
•    Raegan Duncan and Ashley Duran lead the way hitting .320 and .314, respectively.
•    Duncan and Duran have combined for 10 doubles, two home runs and 24 RBI, as well.
