Redhawks Host Tennessee State
•    Southeast Missouri (7-20, 3-5) hosts Tennessee State (0-20, 0-9) in a three-game series this weekend. SEMO and TSU play a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday and a single game at 1 p.m., CT Sunday.
•    Saturday will be the first time SEMO plays on its home field at the Southeast Softball Complex this season.
•    The Redhawks get to play at home for the first time exactly 50 days into their 2026 campaign.

Series Notes
•    Southeast Missouri is 71-14 in its all-time series against Tennessee State.
•    SEMO is 40-6 vs. the Tigers at the Southeast Softball Complex.
•    The Redhawks won 20 of the last 24 meetings between the teams.
•    TSU is one of three Ohio Valley Conference teams that SEMO has more than 70 wins against it its series history.
•    UT Martin (77-54) and Morehead State (76-22) are the others.     

Redburn vs. Tennessee State
•    Mark Redburn is 20-4 against Tennessee State as Southeast Missouri's head coach.
•    Redburn has posted series sweeps of the Tigers a total of six times in his career.

10-Run Outburst
•    The Redhawks scored 10 runs in the top of the sixth inning to pull off 10-5 come-from-behind win in their series finale at Southern Indiana (Mar. 22).
•    Southeast Missouri put together its biggest inning of the season after USI scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth.
•    The Redhawks loaded the bases three times, sent 15 hitters to the plate and had seven hits in their decisive inning.
•    The last time SEMO scored 10 runs in an inning was vs. Nicholls (top of the first) at the Lion Classic in Hammond, Louisiana on Feb. 12, 2022.

OVC Update
•    Southeast Missouri is sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings three weeks into league action.
•    Eastern Illinois (9-0) is atop the leaderboard as the only unbeaten team in OVC games.
•    UT Martin (7-2) and Southern Indiana (7-2) follow, while SIU Edwardsville (6-3) and Tennessee Tech (6-3) round out the top-five.
•    Tennessee State (0-9) is last in the OVC as the conference's only winless team.

Redburn Notches 300th SEMO Win
•    Mark Redburn picked up his 300th career win as Southeast Missouri's head coach when the Redhawks beat Southern Indiana, 10-5, on  Mar. 22.
•    Redburn took over the helm in 2015 and has a record of 300-250 during his SEMO tenure.
•    Combined, Redburn has 390 victories between his NCAA Division I coaching stops at SEMO (300) and Evansville (90).

Starting Streak
•     Addy Martinie has started 34-consecutive games dating back to the 2025 season.
•    Martinie is the only player who started every game this year.
•    She made 23 of her starts at shortstop.

Scoring Edge vs. OVC Foes
•     Southeast Missouri is slightly outscoring Ohio Valley Conference opponents, 33-32, through eight league games.
•    SEMO has scored the most in the sixth (15) and third (12) innings during OVC play.
•    The Redhawks 14 runs vs. Western Illinois (Mar. 9) are a season-high in an OVC game thus far.

March Comes to a Close
•     This weekend's series vs. Tennessee State marks the Redhawks final games in March this year.
•    Southeast Missouri is 3-7 overall and 3-5 in the Ohio Valley Conference this month.
•    Aubrie Shore has been most productive for the Redhawks in March, hitting .423 (11-for-26) with three runs, two doubles, five RBI and three walks in nine starts.

Carney Reaches 100 Career Strikeouts
•    Maddie Carney officially recorded her 100th career strikeout when she struck out Southern Indiana's Jadyn Tinsley in the bottom of the seventh inning on Mar. 22.
•    Carney is exactly at 100 strikeouts in her three-year career with the Redhawks.
•    She has a team-high 34 strikeouts in 67 innings over 15 appearances and 13 starts this season.

Winkler Playing Strong
•     Madison Winkler has hit safely in 13 of her last 16 games. 
•    Winkler also reached base in 30 of her previous 33 contests dating back to May 4, 2025.
•    She got a hit in 21 of her 26 starts this season.
•    Winkler reached on a walk in two of her starts.
•    She is hitting a team-high .346 and boasts a team-best .384 on-base percentage this season.
•    Winkler also leads the team in RBI (13), triples (1), home runs (2), stolen bases (3) and runs scored (11).

About Tennessee State
•    Tennessee State has lost 21-straight games dating back to its season-ending loss to Tennessee Tech in 2025.
•    At 0-20 overall and 0-9 in Ohio Valley Conference play, TSU and Niagara (0-13) are the only teams in NCAA Division I softball without a win this year.
•    The Tigers are ninth in the OVC in batting average (.238), last in ERA (7.38) and ninth in fielding percentage (.945).
