BATON ROUGE, La. – Anna Kaziska tallied a floor score of 9.825 Friday afternoon in the first session of the Second Round at the 2019 NCAA Baton Rouge Regional at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on the campus of Louisiana State.
Kaziska posted her 10th floor mark of 9.800 or higher Friday in the fourth and final rotation after #6 Utah concluded its rotation on the event. The freshman from Louisville, Kentucky, has now recorded 28 scores of 9.700 or higher in 2019.
Kaziska's 9.825 finished tied for ninth on floor in the first session and tied for 17th overall in Friday's Second Round (Session I & II) at the Regional. The 2019 Midwest Independent Conference Newcomer of the Year earned a pair of 9.80s, a 9.85 and a 9.90 from the four judges.
Utah's MyKayla Skinner won the floor title with a 9.925 in the final Ute lineup spot before Kaziska performed at LSU.
Kaziska will next compete at the 2019 USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Championships in Bridgeport, Connecticut, April 12-14 at the Wheeler Recreation Center on the campus of Bridgeport with
Mackenzie Slee,
Gabrielle Adams and
Alana Fischer.
Kaziska and Fischer both qualified for the all-around competition at USAGs. Slee, the 2019 MIC Champion and Second Team MIC All-Conference athlete on floor, will compete on vault and floor at USAGs. Adams who won the individual vault title in Southeast's home opener against San José State qualified for the event at USAGs.
