How We Got Here

The Redhawks are currently 10-10 and 5-4 in Ohio Valley Conference play this season. Southeast Missouri recently had a three-game winning streak come to an end with a 91-57 setback at Belmont. SEMO swept SIUE with a 65-62 win in Edwardsville (Jan. 3) and 63-58 victory in Cape Girardeau (Jan. 24). It was the fifth OVC sweep under head coach Rekha Patterson and first against SIUE since 2013-14. Tesia Thompson leads the team with 17.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Adrianna Murphy averages 3.9 assists and 2.9 steals per contest. SEMO has forced 15-plus turnovers in 17 contests during the 2018-19 season, totaling 382 forced turnovers for the year. In OVC play, SEMO has forced 144 total turnovers as opponents are committing 16 per contest against the Redhawks.

Scouting the Tigers

The Tigers are 2-19 overall and 2-7 in conference play. Tennessee State is 1-5 at the Gentry Center this season, with the only win coming against Eastern Kentucky (Jan. 10, 60-38).
