The Southeast Missouri women's basketball team hits the road to face Southeastern Conference foe Ole Miss Saturday. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m., CT at The Pavilion in Oxford, Mississippi.

Series History 
The Rebels lead the all-time series against the Redhawks, 3-0. The last meeting was Nov. 25, 2014 at The Pavilion where the Redhawks dropped a 58-57 heartbreaker. SEMO has never dropped a contest to Ole Miss by more than nine points. The all-time series dates back to 1986 with the largest margin of victory in the series coming in a 72-63 decision. 

Scouting the Rebels
The Rebels are 5-4 this season and carry a 4-1 home record into Saturday's matchup. Ole Miss is coming off of a pair of losses to Pitt (Nov. 30) and Texas Tech (Dec. 4). The Rebels average 64.1 points, 38.6 rebounds and 20.2 turnovers per game. Ole Miss held its opponents to 60 points or less before heading to Texas Tech. Valerie Nesbitt ranks nationally in steals (11th, 30) and steals per game (19th, 3.33). Nesbitt is also second in the SEC in both categories. The Nassau, Bahamas native averages 11.2 points per game and has 28 assists. Dominique Banks is also ranked nationally in blocked shots (16th, 23) and blocks per game (17th, 2.56). Banks averages 8.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest. The junior leads the team with 23 blocks and 70 rebounds. 
 
1,000 Point Watch
Junior Tesia Thompson currently has 996 career points and needs only four more to reach 1,000. She has 53 points in three games this season. In her career, Thompson averages 15.6 points per contest. She was sidelined for three games this season due to a concussion. The Memphis, Tennessee native will be just the 10th athlete to join the 1,000-point club in the Division I era if she hits that milestone. Olivia Hackmann (2012-2017) was the last Redhawk to score over 1,000 points.

The Redhawks are ranked nationally in rebounds per game (10th, 45.57), fewest turnovers (24th, 103), offensive rebounds per game (23rd, 16.1) and rebounding margin (36th, 8.6). SEMO leads the OVC in fewest turnovers (103), offensive rebounds per game (16.1), rebounding margin (8.6), rebounds per game (45.57), and turnovers per game (14.7). Individually, Carrie Shephard ranks ninth in the nation in 3-point field goals per game (3.43). Shephard is also ranked in points per game (38th, 18.9). LaTrese Saine is 37th in blocked shots per game (2.0) and fourth in the OVC.
