The series between the Redhawks and the Mastodons is tied 1-1. The last meeting was in Fort Wayne on February 12, 2003. The Mastodons defeated the Redhawks, 90-87, in overtime. The series-opener was on January 23, 2002 in Cape Girardeau. SEMO won that matchup, 86-67. Â
Scouting the Mastodons
The Mastodons are 2-3 this season and carry a three-game losing streak into Thursday's game. Purdue Fort Wayne is 2-1 on its home court with a loss to Ball State (83-52) on Nov. 12. The Mastodons recently went 0-2 in the Akron Classic with losses to Mid-American Conference members Akron (64-53) and Kent State (75-67). Hannah Albrecht averages 34.8 minutes and a team-high 12.8 points per game. Albrecht had a season-high 22 points against Kent State (Nov.16). Co-Player of the Week
Tesia Thompson picked up SEMO's first OVC weekly honor of the season when she was named Co-Player of the Week Tuesday. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Thompson posted 26 points and seven rebounds for SEMO last week. She recorded a season-high nine field goals made in 33 minutes of play.
