MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Vivian Lai and Teona Velkoska each made quarterfinals appearances at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ohio Valley Regional Championship as Southeast Missouri women's tennis concluded the tournament Saturday at the Adams Tennis Complex.
 
Lai finished as a quarterfinalist in the B Flight Singles Draw and also teamed up with Velkoska for a B Flight Doubles Draw quarterfinals appearance.
 
Lai, the top seed in the B Flight Singles bracket, split her two matches Friday. She fought past Aziza Aubin of UT Martin, 6-2, 2-6, 6-3, to advance to the quarterfinals.
 
In the quarterfinals, Lai Lai fell to Aleksandra Topalovic of Austin Peay, 6-2, 7-5.
 
She also competed in the quarterfinals of the B Flight Doubles Draw with Velkoska on Friday after the duo recorded wins over Belmont and Lipscomb on Thursday.
 
On Friday, Velkoska and Lai were overcome by the #2-seeded doubles team of Hannah Davies and Monique Woog from Memphis, 8-3.
 
Romana Tarajova and Kseniya Zonova also completed their runs in the Main Singles Draw on Friday.
 
Tarajova who notched a win over Nikol Dobrilova of the Big Ten's Purdue on Friday fell to #1 Amanda Meyer of Vanderbilt, 6-3, 6-2.
 
Zonova also dropped a 7-6 (5), 6-4, decision to Anna Ross (Vanderbilt) after advancing to the match with a victory over Kylie Duckworth of the Southeastern Conference's Tennessee to open the tournament.
 
In consolation play, Southeast tallied a perfect 6-0 record including four wins on Saturday.
 
Teona Velkoska had two consolation wins over Belmont (Sarah Brackin, 7-6 (9), 6-1) and Memphis of the American Conference (Kayla Klazmer, 6-2, 7-5).
 
On Saturday, Zonova and Lai each had victories against Chattanooga in three sets. Zonova beat Jessie Young, 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (12) and Lai defeated Emma Van Hee, 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (15).
 
Tarajova also overcame Butler's Logan White, 6-2, 7-5.
 
In doubles, Tarajova and Zonova bested Caitlin Bernard and Mila Mejic of Indiana, 8-3.

Southeast wraps up its fall schedule with a trip to Deland, Florida, Nov. 1-3 for the Stetson Invitational.
 
The 2020 Redhawks dual season begins on Jan. 29 at Saint Louis and includes 17 matches. SEMO hosts three-straight OVC contests from March 27 through April 4 against Austin Peay, Murray State and Jacksonville State.
