Senior Night Home Finale Versus Centenary
Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics (4-12, 2-4 MIC) hosts Centenary in their home finale at Houck Field House Friday night at 6:30 p.m., CT. The meet is the third contest between Southeast and Centenary in the regular season with the two teams splitting the first two matchups.

Alexis Brawner and
McKinzie Jones combined to win three of the four individual events titles on Friday, Feb. 23 at the Gold Dome in Shreveport, Louisiana, in the first dual, but Southeast fell to the Ladies, 191.175-191.050.

The Redhawks then faced Centenary two days later at Texas Woman's quad meet in Denton, Texas. Southeast finished third with a season-best team score of 193.675 and Centenary placed fourth (191.825).

Looking at the Opponent
Centenary enters the dual after a 193.600-191.075 loss to Illinois State on Sunday. Evelyn Harris claimed the beam title with a score of 9.775. Navia Jordan led the Ladies on floor with a 9.800 (second) and Cami Bea Austin finished third at the dual with a 9.775. Sierra Ponder totaled a score of 9.750 on bars to finish second.

Centenary is 75th in the nation with a regional qualifying score of 186.535. The Ladies are also 73rd on floor (47.710), 74th on vault (47.160), 75th on beam (46.770) and 80th on bars (45.095).

MIC Top 10
Alexis Brawner leads the conference on floor with a RQS of 9.870. She is also third on vault (9.795) and fourth on bars (9.795).
McKinzie Jones is fourth in the MIC on floor with a 9.815 and seventh on beam (9.750). As a team, the Redhawks are fourth overall in the conference with a RQS of 192.460.

Iowa Dual Recap
SEMO recorded a 192.750 on Friday, March 2 against Iowa at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa. The Hawkeyes posted a 195.500 to claim the dual meet.
Alexis Brawner placed second on vault (9.750) and finished third on floor with a 9.875.
Alana Fischer tied for third on beam with a personal-best score of 9.750.
McKenna Stanley finished second in the all-around competition with a score of 36.800.
Kenna Skepnek had a career-best score on floor of 9.550 and
Allyson Bell tallied a season-best bars score of 9.550.

Alexis Brawner has appeared in all 47 meets for Southeast during her Redhawks career. Brawner, a Chesterfield, Michigan native, has amassed 50 career event titles and 121 career scores of 9.700 or higher. She earned MIC Scholastic All-Conference team honors in 2015 and 2016.

Brawner was named 2016 MIC Gymnast of the Year and has earned seven MIC weekly honors in her career. She earned first-team All-MIC honors in the all-around, vault, bars and floor in 2016. Brawner also garnered first team all-conference honors on vault, bars and in the all-around with a second-team selection for beam in 2017 after winning the all-around and vault titles at the MIC Championship in Chicago.

Brawner has also represented Southeast at NCAA Regionals the past two seasons in the all-around competition. She finished seventh at the 2016 NCAA Regional in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and then placed 12
th at the 2017 NCAA Regional in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Brawner ranks sixth all-time in SEMO program history with a 9.900 vault (3/18/17) and 10th all-time with two all-around scores of 39.225.Â
McKenna Stanley has competed in all 47 meets for Southeast in her Redhawks career. Stanley, a San Antonio, Texas native, has been named to the MIC Scholastic All-Conference Teams in 2015 and 2017. She also earned second team All-MIC honors on both bars and in the all-around in 2016. Stanley has recorded 13 scores of 9.700 or higher in her Redhawks career and has won an event title. She won the bars title on Jan. 22, 2016 with a score of 9.775 against Centenary.

Stanley posted a career-best score on bars as a freshman with a 9.850 against Centenary (3/6/15). She also added career-highs on vault (9.650), beam (9.750) and in the all-around competition in 2016 as a sophomore. Stanley posted a career-best all-around score of 38.550 at the 2016 MIC Championships on March 19 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

McKinzie Jones has competed in 35 meets during her three-year career with Southeast. She was named to the MIC Scholastic All-Conference team in 2017 and has earned MIC Specialist of the Week twice in her career. Jones has recorded 53 scores of 9.700 or higher in her Redhawks career and has won 15 career event titles.

In 2016, she earned first team All-MIC honors on floor and second team honors on beam and in the all-around. Jones won the floor event title at the 2016 MIC Championship with a score of 9.925, which tied for the seventh-best score in SEMO history. She also represented Southeast at the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional in 2016, where she placed 14th on floor with a score of 9.800.

50 Career Event Titles for Brawner
Alexis Brawner won the vault title with a score of 9.775 and then claimed the bars title with a 9.800 on Friday, Feb. 23 at Centenary to eclipse 50 event titles (14 in 2018) in her Redhawks career.

Adams and Brawner Earn MIC Honors
Freshman
Gabrielle Adams and
Alexis Brawner both nabbed MIC Weekly honors on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Adams was named MIC Newcomer of the Week and Brawner earned MIC Performance of the Week. This is the first time SEMO gymnastics has earned two MIC weekly awards in the same week since
Ashley Thomas (Gymnast of the Week) and
McKinzie Jones (Specialist of the Week) recorded the feat on Jan. 13, 2016.

Adams earned MIC Newcomer of the Week after she won her first-career event title on Feb. 18 against UIC at Houck Field House. Adams posted a personal-best score of 9.800 on vault in the opening rotation to claim the event title. She also added a 9.700 floor routine in the final rotation for Southeast.

Brawner garnered MIC Performance of the Week laurels after she posted a score of 9.875 on floor to win the title on Feb. 18. She received a 9.85 from the first judge and a 9.90 from the second judge to secure the title. The event title was Brawner's 48th in her career and 12th amassed in 2018. She also added a 9.700 on vault in the dual with the Flames and competed on bars.

Brawner Named MIC Gymnast of the Week
Alexis Brawner earned MIC Gymnast of the Week honors on Wednesday, Jan. 31 after she won individual titles in five of six events in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Brawner won floor (9.900), vault (9.825) and bars (9.800) at Penn and then took first in vault (9.800) and floor (9.875) and finished third on bars (9.75) in a quad meet at Temple with Ithaca and Cornell. The award marks the sixth career MIC honor for Brawner and her first in 2018. She is also the second Redhawk to win a MIC Weekly honor this season.

Bates Wins MIC Newcomer of the Week
Freshman
Lindsey Bates was named the MIC Newcomer of the Week on Wednesday, Jan. 17 after she won her first two career all-around titles against Illinois State (38.950 on 1/12/18) and Lindenwood (38.250 on 1/15/18).

First Win of 2018
The Redhawks earned their first win in 2018 when the team edged fellow MIC school, Illinois State, 193.300-191.175 on Jan. 12 in their home opener at Houck Field House. Acting head coach
Brittney Emmons recorded her first career victory as head coach at the dual.
Alexis Brawner won vault with a score of 9.775 and took the floor title with a 9.825. Brawner also tied with
Lindsey Bates for the title on bars with Illinois State's Alyssa Wiggle with scores of 9.725. Bates also tied for first on beam with ISU's Gabrielle Cooke with a 9.700 and won her first career all-around crown with a personal-best 38.950.

Roster Breakdown
The Redhawks are relatively young with seven freshmen and five sophomores. Top returners for Southeast include 2017 MIC All-Around and Vault Champion,
Alexis Brawner,
McKenna Stanley along with juniors
Allyson Bell and
McKinzie Jones. Brawner also earned MIC Gymnast of the Year in 2016 and represented SEMO at the NCAA Regionals in the all-around competition the past two seasons.

2017 in Review
SEMO placed fifth at the MIC Championship in 2017 behind Lindenwood, Texas Woman's, Illinois State and Illinois-Chicago. The Redhawks will look to improve on their 8-16 overall record. Southeast had a team regional qualifying score of 192.330.

Looking Ahead
Southeast concludes its regular season with the State of Missouri Meet in Columbia, Missouri against Mizzou and Lindenwood on Friday, March 16 at 7 p.m., CT. The Redhawks then travel to St. Charles, Missouri, for the MIC Championships at Lindenwood on Friday, March 23 at 6 p.m.Â
