SHREVEPORT, La. – Alexis Brawner and
McKinzie Jones combined to win three of the four individual events titles Friday night at the Gold Dome, but it wasn't enough as Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics (3-9, 1-3 MIC) was edged by Centenary (1-7, 1-3 MIC), 191.175-191.050.

Brawner won the vault title with a score of 9.775 and then claimed the bars title with a 9.800. She now has captured 50 event titles (14 in 2018) in her Redhawks career. Jones matched her season-high score on balance beam of 9.800 to win the event title and earn her 15th career event title.

Southeast started the dual meet with a team score of 48.000 on bars in the opening rotation. Brawner posted a team-high score of 9.800 and Jones was second overall at the dual with a 9.700.
Alana Fischer matched her personal-best score of 9.675 and
Lindsey Bates added a 9.625.

In the second rotation, the Redhawks totaled a 48.200 on vault. Led by Brawner's 9.775,
Mackenzie Slee and Bates placed second at the meet with identical scores of 9.650. The score marked a career best on vault for Slee.
Samantha Gallet also matched her personal high on vault of a 9.600.
McKenna Stanley rounded out Southeast with a 9.525.

SEMO rotated to floor for the third rotation of the dual where the team posted a 47.650. Brawner was second at the dual behind Navia Jordan of Centenary with a score of 9.750. Slee tied for third at the meet and was second on Southeast with a floor routine of 9.700.
McKenna Stanley tied her career-best floor score of 9.625.
Michael Sanders competed on floor for the first time in her Redhawks career and added a 9.575.

Southeast concluded the meet with a 47.200 on beam. Jones led the Redhawks on the apparatus with a 9.800 and
Megan Dennis was third overall at the dual with a career-best score of 9.725.

SEMO continues their weekend excursion with a quad meet against Texas Woman's (3-7, 3-0 MIC), Centenary and Bridgeport (10-4, 2-1 ECAC-DII) at the Kitty Magee Arena in Denton, Texas, on Sunday at 2 p.m., CT.
