The Southeast Missouri women's basketball team will head Evansville Saturday. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m., CT, at the Meeks Family Fieldhouse.

Series History
Southeast Missouri leads the all-time series against Evansville, 5-3. The Redhawks are 2-2 on the road against the Aces. The most recent matchup between Evansville and SEMO was on November 20, 2016 in Evansville, Indiana where the Redhawks won, 76-74.  

How We Got Here
Southeast Missouri is off to a 3-5 start with losses at #6 Mississippi State (88-53, Nov. 6), Bradley (85-79, Nov. 10), Southern Illinois (60-40, Nov. 14), North Alabama (67-80, Nov. 24)and Indiana State (51-62, Nov. 29). The three wins came against Western Illinois (81-71, Nov. 20), NJIT (68-58, Nov. 25) and Illinois-Springfield (82-46, Dec. 4).  Tesia Thompson leads the team with 16.8 points per game. Adrianna Murphy averages 4.4 assists per game and three steals per game.

Scouting the Aces
The Purple Aces are currently 1-6 this season and are looking for their first home win. Evansville has faced Murray State, SIUE, and Morehead State in the 2018-19 campaign and is 0-3 against Ohio Valley Conference teams. Evansville is currently on a five game losing streak after recently falling to Illinois-Chicago Wednesday. The Purple Aces added seven to their 2018-19 roster after losing eight players a year ago. Kerri Gasper attended high school with SEMO's Sarah Balfour at Olmsted Falls Ohio. Gasper leads the team with 12.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. She is the only player who started every game for UE this season.

Last Time Out
Southeast Missouri recently hosted Illinois-Springfield on Dec. 4, where the Redhawks defeated the Prairie Stars, 82-46. Adrianna Murphy recorded her fifth career double-double (24 points, 11 rebounds) against UIS. The Redhawks have forced 15 plus turnovers in every game this season. SEMO averages 10.9 steals and is forcing 22.5 turnovers a game.
