The Southeast Missouri women's basketball team will host Indiana State Thursday. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m., CT, at the Show Me Center. Thursday marks the sixth meeting between these teams.

Series History
Indiana State leads the all-time series against Southeast Missouri, 5-0. ISU won the last meeting between these teams by a score of 72-38 on Nov. 24, 2009 in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Sycamores are 2-0 at the Show Me Center with wins over the Redhawks in 2008 (75-72) and 1999 (77-58). 

How We Got Here
Southeast Missouri is off to a 2-4 start with losses at #6 Mississippi State (88-53, Nov. 6), Bradley (85-79, Nov. 10), Southern Illinois (60-40, Nov. 14) and North Alabama (67-80, Nov. 24). The two wins came against Western Illinois (81-71, Nov. 20) and NJIT (68-58, Nov. 25). Four Redhawks have scored in double figures each of the last three games. Tesia Thompson leads the team with 18.2 points per game. 

Scouting the Sycamores
The Sycamores are currently 3-1 this season and own a 3-0 record on the road. In 2017-18, Indiana State finished at 11-19 overall and 9-9 in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Sycamores' most recent game was their only loss of the season. Indiana State fell to UC Irvine (77-61) in the Grand Canyon Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 24. Junior guard, Ashli O'Neal leads the Sycamores with 17 points per game and 16 steals thus far. Senior forward Regan Wentland averages eight rebounds and seven points per contest. 

Last Time Out
Southeast Missouri recently made a trip to the East Coast for the New Jersey Institute of Technology Thanksgiving Classic. SEMO faced both North Alabama and NJIT and finished 1-1 in the tournament The Redhawks fell to North Alabama (Nov. 24), despite Kennedi Allen's double-double 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Jocelyn Taylor's career-high 19 points. A total of four Redhawks scored in double-digits against the Lions. SEMO bounced back to defeat tournament host NJIT (Nov. 25), 68-58, with four Redhawks scoring in double figures again. Tesia Thompson finished the tournament with 26 points and 15 rebounds, while Taylor scored 30 points and had 14 boards.
