Southeast Missouri women's basketball (8-11, 3-4) battle the Eastern Illinois Panthers (2-16, 1-6) at 1 p.m. at Lantz Arena in Charleston, Ill. on Saturday.
 
 
Scouting Eastern Illinois
The Panthers are 2-16 on the season, 1-6 in conference play. Last game they were defeated by the UT Martin Skyhawks 72-44, Taylor Steele had 19 points and six rebounds for EIU in the loss. Their leading scorer on the season, Grace Lennox at 15.4 points per game, has only played eight games, missing the last 10.

Last Meeting with Eastern Illinois
Southeast defeated the Cougars in their last meeting 107-65 on Feb. 11, 2017. The Redhawks won the meeting before as well 72-61 on Jan. 21, 2017. Southeast leads the all-time series 22-21.
 
 
A Look at What's Ahead
The Redhawks will stay on the road the next two games next week against Tennessee Tech on Jan. 25 and Jacksonville State on Jan. 27.
 
 
Redhawks Fall to SIUE Late
Southeast led the entire game but hit a cold spell in the final five minutes, missing nine consecutive shots and going over three minutes without scoring at all. They ultimately fell 65-57.
