Southeast Missouri's track & field teams will head to Atlanta, Georgia to participate in the Georgia Tech Invitational this weekend, April 21-22. Field events will open both days of competition at 11 a.m.

adidas® OVC Athletes of the Week
Jarred Pasley was named male track athlete of the week after finishing second in the 400m at Indiana State's Gibson Invitational (OVC vs. MVC Challenge). His time of 47.38 ranks is a season best and ranks first in the conference.

Kayla Gutierrez earned female field athlete of the week honors after recording a trio of top five finishes at the same meet. She took first in the hammer throw with a toss of 56.21m (184' 5") while finishing third in the discus at 47.81m (156' 10"), both of which rank first in the OVC this year. Gutierrez also placed fourth in the in the shot put with a throw of 14.06m (46' 1.5") which is fifth in the league this season.

Making History
Sydney O'Brien jumped to second on Southeast's all-time 10,000m list with her time of 35:38.56 this weekend at the Mt. SAC Relays. In the same event, Kaitlyn Shea followed closely to earn third all-time at 35:56.84. The marks also respectively rank second and third in the conference.

Stephen Zagurski improved his top hammer throw mark to become fifth in school history at 187' 11". Logan Blomquist now rounds out the list with a toss of 172' 5". Blomquist also became seventh for discus in the SEMO record books with a throw of 174'.

Other Conference Rankings
Zach Gordon currently ranks fourth in the 100m with a time of 10.87 and is followed closely in fifth by Andre Bluiett (10.90). Gordon also is fourth in the OVC for 200m (21.67) while Brannon Wright leads the pact with at 21.39 seconds.

Following Pasley's 400m time and ranking third in the conference is Jordan Barber at 48.20.

Miya Dorsey holds the first overall time in the 400m hurdles at 1:01.51. On the men's end of the hurdles running, Wesley White currently is third (54.03) in the OVC.

Eilish Overby's time of 2:17.97 is fourth in the conference for women's 800m times.

In the 3000m steeple, Angie Sumner's time of 11:30.17 is fifth in the OVC.

In field events, three Redhawks still hold positions in the top-five for men's pole vault. Christian Locke ranks first overall with the height of 16' 8.75" while Dylan Rush is second (15' 10") and Nick South is fourth (15' 1"). Sierra Maddox holds the second-best height in the women's end at 12' 3.5".

Gordon makes a third appearance in the conference standings for his effort in the long jump, rounding out the top-five with a distance of 23' .75".

Blomquist's recent discus toss holds in the lead in the OVC while also ranking fourth in shot put (53' 3.5").

Zagurski's hammer new personal record hammer toss is third in the conference while aso sporting the fourth-best discus throw (158' 3").

In men's javelin, Richard Vinson leads the conference with a toss of 175' 8". Andrew Ryan now ranks third with top throw of 177' 3".

Next weekend, Southeast will participate in the Georgia Tech Invitational on April 22-23. On both days the meet will begin competition at 11 a.m.
