CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Southeast Missouri picked up a close victory over Air Force in today's dual meet, taking the title by a score of 193.800-193.775.
Alexis Brawner recorded a career-best all-around score of 39.225 while picking up three event titles.
The Redhawks started the meet on vault, scoring a 48.000. Brawner paced the squad winning the event with an even 9.800.
Ashley Thomas finished second with a score of 9.725.
McKenna Stanley came in third with as season-best score of 9.600.
Allyson Bell (9.475) and
Mackenzie Slee (9.400) wrapped up scoring on vault.

For the second consecutive meet, Southeast went big on bars and collected a season-high score, tallying a 48.800. Four Redhawks scored a 9.750 or better.
McKinzie Jones claimed the title on bars with a 9.825. Brawner took second with a 9.800. Stanley put together a strong performance and finished third with a 9.775. Thomas finished fourth on the team with a 9.750. Bell closed out scoring with a 9.650.

On beam, SEMO hit an even 48.000 during the third rotation. Jones took the top spot for Southeast with a score of 9.800. Brawner continued her strong weekend taking second on the team with a 9.675. Bell and Thomas posted identical scores of 9.650 to tie for third. Slee rounded out the scoring with a 9.175.

On floor, SEMO collected a season-best score of 49.000 on floor. Brawner tied a career-high and won the event title with a 9.900. Thomas (9.850) and Jones (9.825) put together remarkable performances to finish second and third, respectively. Slee, once again, set a new season-high with a 9.725. Bell closed out the event with a career-best 9.700.

Southeast will close the regular season on the road on Mar. 11 when they take on Western Michigan in a dual meet.
