Series History
The series between the Redhawks and Lady Tigers is all tied up at 21-21. Southeast was victorious in last season's meeting at home, 75-65, snapping a three-game losing streak to TSU. Southeast is 7-13 all-time against the Lady Tigers at Tennessee State.

Scouting the Lady Tigers
Tennessee State comes into Thursday's game with a 5-6 overall record and 0-1 in OVC play. The Lady Tigers fell at Murray State in the conference opener, 80-72. Middle Tennessee transfer Olivia Jones leads the team with 14.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game in five appearances this season. Since becoming eligible to play, Jones has been named the OVC newcomer of the week twice this season. Jayda Johnson follows with 13.4 points per game. All five starters reached double-digit points in the conference-opening loss to Murray State on Saturday. Kaliya Griffin and Johnson each recorded 15 points to co-lead the team. Jones was a rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with 10 points and nine boards. As a team, the Lady Tigers lead the OVC with 10.5 steals a game. Johnson's 2.3 takeaways a game ranks second in the OVC.

Looking Back
Olivia Hackmann became the 17th all-time member of Southeast Missouri's 1,000-point club in Saturday's 74-63 loss to Eastern Kentucky. Hackmann recorded 26 points in the contest. She was 19 short of one thousand entering the game. The Chamois, Missouri native was one rebound shy of her fifth double-double, finishing with nine rebounds. Her 12 made field goals tied a career best. Aside from Hackmann, Bri Mitchell and Adrianna Murphy each tallied double-digit point performances. Mitchell put up 16 points in the contest while Murphy had 10. Murphy's 10 points ties a season high set on Dec. 16 at Memphis. The sophomore also pulled in seven rebounds with a team-high five assists. Deja Jones and Hackmann co-led the team in rebounding, each grabbing nine rebounds. As a team, Southeast tied EKU with 49 total rebounds. The difference came in the Redhawks' 26 offensive boards to EKU's 16, resulting in 22 second-chance points. Southeast shot 32 percent in the game while the Colonels were 41 percent from the floor. Southeast nearly shot season lows in 3-point shooting (26.3%) and free-throw shooting (46.2%).

Welcome to the Club
A 26-point performance against Eastern Kentucky on Dec. 31 gave redshirt-senior Olivia Hackmann her 1,000th career point, making her the 17th all-time member of Southeast's 1,000-Point Club, eighth of SEMO's Division I era. Sonya Daugherty and Tarina Nixon (2005-09) were the last inducted into the club. With 919 career points, senior Bri Mitchell will most likely be the next member inducted.

Taking Better Care of the Ball
Since back-to-back 20+ turnover games against Louisiana and Alcorn State, the Redhawks have improved its handling of the ball. In eight games, the Redhawks have had 13 or less turnovers in five including two games with just eight (Stephens College) and seven (Tennessee Tech) turnovers. Following the Louisiana game, Southeast averaged 4.3 more turnovers a game. Now, SEMO has worked to average 0.7 turnovers less than its opponents.

Wiping the Glass
Southeast Missouri ranks as one of the best rebounding teams in the country, ranking 16th in total rebounds with 632; however, Southeast's 42.13 rebounds per game ranks 60th nationally. The Redhawks had a season-high 59 rebounds against Lipscomb on Dec. 6.

Redhawks for THREE!
As a team, Southeast Missouri ranks 17th nationally in 3-point field goals made (116) and 28th in 3-point field goal percentage (.373). In the OVC, the Redhawks rank fourth in 3-pointers made but are second in 3-point shooting. Hannah Noe's 43 3-pointers rank 19th in the country, second in the league. Noe has 93 career made 3-pointers, ranking her tied for seventh in Southeast's career top-10 list. As a conference, the OVC ranks third in the country in 3-pointers made.

Help! I Need Somebody

Murphy has had two double-digit assist performances this season including a career-high 14. Her 14-assist game is the sixth most in an NCAA game this season. Senior Bri Mitchell recorded her first double-digit assist game against Alabama A&M with 12. As a team, the Redhawks rank 17th in the nation with 251 total assists.
