Day Two of NCAA West Prelims Cut Short

LAWRENCE, Kan. - After implementing a revised schedule, the second day of competition at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West Preliminary Round was halfway completed before more inclement weather postponed several events.
The meet opened with the resumption of the men's hammer throw. Southeast Missouri's Kevin Farley finished 17th in the event with a best toss measuring 61.25m (200' 11").
Jacob Kent lept 6.90m (22' 7.25") in a tie for 40th in the men's long jump.
Jarred Pasley ran a 47.70 second sprint in the 400m to take 33rd.
On the women's end of the 400m, Cheyanne Tunti finished in 36th clocking a time of 55.76.
In the women's high jump, Chante Mosby did not record a height in competition.
Farley was scheduled to compete again in the discus throw, but the event has been postponed until Saturday morning.
The final day of competition is set to begin tomorrow at 9 a.m. with men's discus. A full schedule is available here.
