
Redhawks End Competition At Hilltopper Relays

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Southeast Missouri's track & field teams finished competition Saturday afternoon at the Western Kentucky Hilltopper Relays.
Paden Wachter led off the meet with a discus toss of 40.74m.
Catherine Hopkins' javelin throw measuring in at 27.60m while Wachter's was 24.47m.
Kevin Farley took second in men's discus with a throw reaching 55.45m. Jason Walker (45.18m) and Stephen Zagurski (44.11m) also appeared in the event.
In men's javelin, Andrew Ryan finished first with a new personal record of 50.98m.
Mikayla Logan and Sidne' Willamson both took part in the long jump, reaching distances of 5.41m and 5.39m, respectively.
Jacob Kent jumped 6.76m in the long jump for sixth place while Zach Gordon leapt 6.68m for seventh. Tre Curry also competed with a distance of 6.50m.
Chante Mosby reached a height of 1.55m in the high jump.
Marc Maton placed fourth in the 1500m at 3:58.47. Craig Munie (4:04.17), Dan Plunkett (4:05.41), James Kosbar (4:06.31), Shane Brown (4:15.31) and Jace Mortimer (4:17.52) also all ran in the competition.
On the women's side, Kaitlyn Shea had the top Redhawk time in the 1500m at 4:47.42. Other runners included Angela Sumner (4:49.04), Natalie Kopplin (5:05.22) and Lindsey Seabaugh (5.21.26).
In the men's 400m dash, Jordan Barber placed fifth in 48.51 seconds. Brannon Wright also ran, finishing with a time of 49.47.
Cheyenne Tunti was the lone Redhawk in the women's 400m, taking first with a time of 56.01 seconds.
Chris Martin claimed first in the triple jump, bounding 15.67m.
Cole Davis took first in the 800m run with a time of 1:55.73. Jordan Brown followed closely in third with a time of 1:55.91. Kameron Long took eight at 1:58.05 while James Kosbar finish in 2:00.47.
Megan Parks was the only Redhawk on the women's end of the event, taking seventh at 2:14.37.
Haile Wilson clocked a time of 22.63 seconds in the men's 200m dash. Mariam Ajiroba finished in 25.58 in the women's side of the 200m.
Southeast will return to competition Saturday, April 16, at the SIUE Invitational in Edwardsville, Illinois. The event times have not yet be determined.
