Let's Recap
Southeast Missouri baseball saw a number of streaks and trends end this past weekend at Austin Peay. Friday evening's 6-1 loss snapped the Redhawks' 11-game winning streak and served as their first Ohio Valley Conference loss of the season after starting 12-0. The Redhawks tried to come back in game two of the series but fell short, 8-6, dropping their first conference series. Southeast salvaged game three of the series with a 7-3 victory. In Sunday's win Chris Osborne became the first Southeast Missouri player to hit for the cycle since 2003; he was also the hero in the come-from-behind victory over Arkansas State earlier in the week, hitting a three-run home run in the eighth inning. For the week Osborne hit .667 (6-for-9) with a 1.667 slugging percentage and .727 on-base percentage; in 21 games this season Osborne is hitting .400 and slugging .880.

Southeast won in Jonesboro on Mar. 25 last season, 6-5, but fell in Cape a week later, 12-10, on Mar. 31.

Scouting the Arkansas State Red Wolves
The Red Wolves enter Tuesday's game riding a six-game losing streak. A State was swept over the weekend by Sun Belt foe South Alabama on the road. The Red Wolves' last victory came at home on Apr. 1 against Louisiana-Lafayette, 7-6. This season, Arkansas State is 6-5 at home. Tuesday's game will be the first of a four-game homestand. Arkansas State is hitting .245 as a team, led by Ty White's .311 batting average. Joe Schrimpf holds a team-leading 26 runs batted in with four home runs, which ties for the team lead. Right-handed pitcher Bo Ritter will get the start for the Red Wolves on Tuesday. Ritter holds a 3.14 ERA in seven appearances. He is 1-0 this season and has started one game. Ritter has pitched 14.1 innings, has struck out eight, and walked two.

Last Week's Meeting
Southeast came out on top of last week's game at home against Arkansas State, 4-2. The Redhawks trailed 2-1 going to the bottom of the eighth inning. Chris Osborne played hero with two-out, three-run home run to go ahead 4-2 on the Red Wolves. Garrett Gandolfo scattered three hits against the Red Wolves with a run and a walk. In his fourth start of the season, Jacob Lawrence pitched six and two-thirds innings. Lawrence allowed one run on five hits with five strikes. Lawrence would get a no decision after the go-ahead run scored off Redhawk reliever Jake Busiek. Justin Murphy picked up the victory after pitching one and a third innings to finish the game.

Osborne Hits for the Cycle
Junior outfielder Chris Osborne became the first Southeast Missouri baseball player to hit for the cycle since 2003 on Sunday at Austin Peay. Osborne singled in the second inning, homered in the fifth, tripled in the eighth, and doubled in the ninth to complete the cycle. Denver Stuckey was the last Southeast player to hit for the cycle on May 4, 2003 at UT Martin.
