Matinee with the Panthers
Southeast Missouri women's basketball (14-9, 7-3 OVC) will open a three-game road swing when it travels to Eastern Illinois (1-21, 0-10 OVC) Saturday. The Redhawks and Panthers tip off at 1:30 p.m. from Lantz Arena in Charleston, Illinois.

Series History
The Redhawks lead the Panthers in the all-time series, 20-19, 20-17 DI. The Redhawks are 8-10 on the road against Eastern Illinois. Southeast has not won in Charleston since Jan. 5, 2008; the Redhawks edged the Panthers 55-51. The Redhawks and Panthers have split the home-and-home series the last two seasons.

Let's Recap
Southeast Missouri scored a season-high 96 points in Wednesday's 96-59 win over Murray State. Hannah Noe led the Redhawk offense with a 22-point performance, the first 20-point game of her career. Noe hit a career-best six 3-pointers in the contest. Southeast used all 13 available players in Wednesday's game. The Redhawks' bench scored a season-high 38 points, led by Kaley Leyhue's career-best 15 points in 17 minutes. Erin Bollmann finished with 14 points in Wednesday's game while Bri Mitchell tallied 16. Mitchell dished out a team-best eight assists. Imani Johnson pulled down a team-best nine rebounds against the Racers. Southeast's 63.2% 3-point shooting is the 17th best 3-point performance in the nation this season.

Looking at the Eastern Illinois Panthers
EIU is winless in OVC play this season at 0-10. The Panthers won the season opener at home against IUPUI but have gone winless since, losing 21-straight games. Eastern Illinois fell to Murray State and SIUE last week. Junior Erica Brown recorded 11 points and eight rebounds versus the Racers. In the game with SIUE, Brown scored nine points and brought down eight boards. Freshman Halle Stull came off the bench to record 11.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game last week. She posted her second career double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds versus the Cougars.

Looking Ahead
The Redhawks will continue their road slate at UT Martin on Wednesday. Southeast will look to bounce back against the 8-1 Skyhawks after falling to them at home on Jan. 24, 84-74. Southeast and UT Martin tip off at 6 p.m. from Martin, Tennessee. Southeast will have a quick turnaround against Murray State when they head to Murray, Kentucky on Feb. 13.

Best Record in a Long Time
Seven Ohio Valley Conference wins this season is the most since Southeast went 10-8 in 2008-09. The Redhawks' eight home wins is also the most since the 2008-09 season. The Redhawks are on track to go to their first OVC Basketball Tournament since the 2008-09 season. The Redhawks won the regular season title and played in the WNIT the previous year in 2007-08.

Women's Basketball Coaches Show Mondays at 9 a.m.
Fans can tune in to SEMO ESPN to hear head women's basketball coach Rekha Patterson discuss her team on a weekly basis. Patterson will be live on the air as part of The Sports Huddle Monday mornings at 9 a.m. beginning Jan. 25. The Sports Huddle is a live weekday broadcast with Erik Sean and Jess Bolen from 9 to 10 a.m. on SEMO ESPN 92.9 FM and 1220 AM.

Boarding School
Southeast Missouri ranks ninth nationally in total rebounds this season with 998. The Redhawks ranks 21st in the country in rebounds per game with 43.39 boards a game. Southeast is 10-4 when it outrebounds its opponents. Southeast is currently sporting a 4.5 rebounding margin. As a whole, the OVC ranks seventh among all 32 NCAA Division I conferences in total rebounds (10,263). Southeast's program record for rebounds in a season is 1,388 (2006-07).

Not Exactly Bench Warmers
The Redhawks bench averages 30.4 points per game this season. Southeast's bench averages 13 more points per game than its opponents. The bench also outrebounds opponents by 5.1 boards a game. The Redhawks' bench shoots 41% from the field. Imani Johnson has played a team-high 22 games off the bench, putting up 10 points per game. The bench has recorded 30 or more points in 12 games this season. Southeast had a season-high 38 bench points against Murray State on Wednesday.

Home is Where the Wins Are
Southeast is 8-3 this season at the Show Me Center. The Redhawks' eight home wins are the most since the 2008-09 season. In confernece game, Southeast is 5-1. The Redhawks outscore their opponents by 8.8 points a game on the Show Me Center floor. From the field, the Redhawks shoot .438 compared to opponents' .396 field goal percentage. The Redhawks shoot a very good .739 from the free-throw line at home. Southeast averages 5.0 more rebounds than its opponents at home.

Dishin' Out Assists
Freshman point guard Adrianna Murphy is on track to crack Southeast's single-season top ten list in assists. Murphy currently has 116 in her rookie season. She needs to reach 126 (Stephanie Williams, 1985-86) to crack the list. Sherry Mitchell (1990-91) holds the single-season assists record with 232.

King of the Block Party
Senior Connor King currently has 54 blocks in her time as a Redhawk. King needs two more blocks to tie 56 (Pat Colon, 1982-87) and crack the career top-10 blocks list. The record of 115 is held by Vera Roberts (1986-90). King is tied for the team lead with 18 this season.

That Was a Close One
The Redhawks are no strangers to close games this season. Southeast won its first one-possession game in a come-from-behind thriller at Tennessee Tech, 60-57. The win over Austin Peay was Southeast's fourth five-point margin win. The Redhawks lost a pair of games by one-point against Idaho State and at Eastern Kentucky. The Redhawks are 4-2 in games decided by five points or less; 5-4 in 10 points or less.

What's My Age Again?
Southeast Missouri has had strong performances this season from three notable freshmen. Point guard Adrianna Murphy has started 18 of the 22 games she's played in, averages 5.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, five assists, and 1.7 steals a game. Imani Johnson averages 12.9 points in nine games off the bench in OVC play. Johnson has tallied double-digit points in 13 games this season. Most recently, Corneisha Henderson has provided a spark off the bench in OVC play.

Painting the Court Red
The Redhawks average 32.0 points in the paint per game this season. Southeast drained a season-high 48 points in the pain at Morehead State (1/7). The Redhawks have scored 30 or more points in the paint in 15 of their 23 games. The Redhawks are 10-5 in those contests.
