USAF ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Southeast Missouri gymnastics team fell to Air Force by a score of 192.650-190.425.
Lauren Israel had an impressive night setting new career-highs in the all-around (38.925), uneven bars (9.875) and balance beam (9.900).
Alexis Brawner and Israel combined for four event titles.
After the first rotation, the Redhawks trailed by 0.25 points after scoring a 47.975 on bars. Israel won the event with a season-best 9.875. Brawner came in second on the team with a 9.750.
McKinzie Jones (9.675) and
Taylor Penzien (9.625) finished in third and fourth, respectively.
McKenna Stanley closed out the top-five with a 9.050.

During the second rotation, the Redhawks scored a 48.050 on vault. Brawner won the event with a season-best 9.825. Stanley came in second, tying a season-high with a 9.600.
Allyson Bell and
Jordan Clark each scored a 9.550, while Israel and Jones rounded out the rotation with a 9.525 apiece.

On floor, the Redhawks posted a 47.775. Brawner led the way with a season-high 9.825 to win the event. Jones followed with a solid performance, scoring a 9.800. Israel finished with a score of 9.625. Clark tallied a 9.525. Bell rounded out the top-five for Southeast. She scored a 9.000 in her first-collegiate floor event.

The Redhawks closed the competition out on beam with a 46.625. Israel won the title with an astonishing 9.900 to set a new career mark for the event. Jones came in second with a solid score of 9.650. Penzien (9.100), Brawner (9.075) and Stanley (8.900) closed out the event for Southeast.
Southeast will close out their roadtrip Saturday in Denver, Colorado. The Redhawks will take on Denver University, University of Iowa and Illinois-Chicago in a quad-meet. The meet is slated to begin at 7 p.m., CT.
