Southeast Missouri women's basketball (2-3) will travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to take part in the Southern Miss Lady Eagles Thanksgiving Tournament. Southeast will open tournament play Friday at noon against Louisiana (1-1) at Reed Green Coliseum.

The Redhawks will play tournament host Southern Miss (3-1) or Alcorn State (0-3) in the second round on Saturday. The championship game is set for 4 p.m. while the consolation game is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start time.

A Look at What's Ahead
The Redhawks will be back in the Show Me Center to host in-state foe Saint Louis University on Nov. 29, kicking off a three-game homestand. Southeast begins the month of December against Stephens College on Sunday, Dec. 4. The homestand will come to a close two days later, Dec. 6, when Lipscomb comes to the Show Me Center.

Scouting Louisiana
The Ragin' Cajuns enter tournament play with a 1-1 record. Louisiana defeated McNeese in the season opener 77-70 on the road, Nov. 12. Most recently, the Ragin' Cajuns took on No. 1 Notre Dame in Houston, falling in the game 91-51. Jaylyn Gordon (16) and Jasmine Thomas (15) were responsible for 60 percent of the team's offense on Tuesday. Simone Fields, the reigning Sun Belt Player of the Week recorded a 28-point, 13-rebound double-double in the season opener while Gordon drained 26 points. Through two games, Gordon is averaging 21 points per game while Fields has 18 with 7.5 boards a game.

Friday's game will be the first ever meeting between Southeast and Louisiana.
Southern Miss
Southeast Missouri is 1-1 all-time against Southern Miss. The teams played in back-to-back seasons in 2008-09 and 2009-10. Southeast lost on the road on Dec. 13, 2008, 64-47. The next season, the Redhawks won in the Show Me Center, 73-63.
Alcorn State
The Redhawks hold a 3-1 advantage over Alcorn State in the all-time series. The teams last met on Dec. 31, 2003 at the UT San Antonio Classic. Southeast won the game 73-63. Southeast's only loss to Alcorn came Nov. 27, 1998 at the Chateau Charles Cowgirl Classic in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Looking Back
Southeast Missouri got back in the win column with a 76-74 victory over Evansville on Sunday. The win is also the first on the road for Southeast this season. The Redhawks held a 49-28 lead at halftime but were outscored 46-27 in the second half. Evansville led much of the final quarter but Southeast was able to hold on and pick up the victory.
Olivia Hackmann picked up 20 points in the contest. The game was the fifth 20-point game of the redshirt-senior's career. She tied a career-best four 3-pointers made. Hackmann's double-double streak ended, pulling in only five rebounds.
Ashton Luttrull recorded a season-high 14 points. She hit three 3-pointers in the game and grabbed a career-high six rebounds.
Hannah Noe picked up 11 points, making a trio of 3-pointers and making three free-throws.
Deja Jones pulled in a team-high nine rebounds and drained nine points.
Adrianna Murphy grabbed eight rebounds. She also dished out seven assists and finished with six points. As a team, Southeast finished shooting 39.48% (26-of-66) and 47.8% (11-of-23) from 3-point range. SEMO's 11 3-pointers is a new season high.

Sophomore point guard
Adrianna Murphy currently leads the country with 44 assists this season. Her 8.8 assists per game ranks fourth. Additionally,
Bri Mitchell's 30 assists ranks eighth nationally. As a team, the Redhawks rank eighth in the nation with 95 assists.

Seeing Double-Double
Redshirt-senior
Olivia Hackmann ranks sixth nationally this season in double-doubles with three. She recorded a double-double in each of the first three games she played this season, averaging 18.3 points and 11 rebounds those game. She leads the team with 18.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game this season.

Eyes on One Thousand
Olivia Hackmann is quickly approaching one thousand points in her career. She has 867 so far, needing only 133 more. There are 16 total members of Southeast's 1,000-point club, only seven of which have come in the Division I era. Sonya Daugherty and Tarina Nixon (2005-09) were the last inducted into the club.
