EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Southeast Missouri women's basketball (2-3) got back in the win column with a 76-74 victory over Evansville (0-4) on Sunday. The win is also the first on the road for Southeast this season.

The Redhawks held a 49-28 lead at halftime but were outscored 46-27 in the second half. Evansville led much of the final quarter but Southeast was able to hold on and pick up the victory.

Olivia Hackmann picked up 20 points in the contest. The game was the fifth 20-point game of the redshirt-senior's career. She tied a career-best four 3-pointers made. Hackmann's double-double streak ended, pulling in only five rebounds.

Ashton Luttrull recorded a season-high 14 points. She hit three 3-pointers in the game and grabbed a career-high six rebounds.
Hannah Noe picked up 11 points, making a trio of 3-pointers and making three free-throws.

Deja Jones pulled in a team-high nine rebounds and drained nine points.

Adrianna Murphy grabbed eight rebounds. She also dished out seven assists and finished with six points.

As a team, Southeast finished shooting 39.48% (26-of-66) and 47.8% (11-of-23) from 3-point range. SEMO's 11 3-pointers is a new season high.

The Redhawks used a hot 9-2 start to get ahead early on the Purple Aces. Hackmann was responsible for seven of the Redhawks' first nine points. Southeast was held scoreless for three minutes and 46 seconds as Evansville worked to close the gap to six, 17-11. Hackmann ended the scoring drought with a 3-pointer and tipping the double-digit mark with 10 first-quarter points.

At the end of the first quarter, Southeast led 20-13. Murphy pulled in a team-best five rebounds and dished out four assists in the first.

Southeast was able to rattle off 29 points in the second quarter while holding the Aces to just 15. Southeast hit six 3-pointers in the frame highlighted by three-straight by Luttrull. The Redhawks' largest lead came four times at 23 points in the second.

At halftime, Hackmann had 18 total points and had tied a career-best four 3-pointers. Luttrull had nine points on her three 3-point makes. Murphy, while not registering any rebounds in the second quarter still led the team with five. She had seven assists at half.

As a team, the Redhawks had 10 first-half 3-pointers, already a new season high. Southeast shot 10-of-18 (55.6%) from beyond the arc in the half.

Evansville opened the third quarter on a 15-1 run to pull within seven of Southeast, 50-43. The Aces continued to chip away at the Redhawk lead, finishing the quarter with four straight points to make it a three-point game, 60-57.

Evansville outscored Southeast in the frame, 29-11. After no first-half points,
Bri Mitchell had four points in the third to lead the team.

The red-hot Purple Aces found a lead on a 3-pointer by Sara Dickey with 6:46 to play, 64-63. Evansville was able to maintain the lead into the final minute. Mitchell scored a layup to tie it at 74 with 19 seconds to play.

Luttrull drew a foul to send her to the line, with three seconds left. After Luttrull gave SEMO a one-point lead with split free-throws, Evansville called time and opted to advance the ball. The Aces were unable to inbound the ball, being called for a three-second violation, giving the Redhawks control of the ball. Mitchell was fouled, split free-throws with two seconds left, bringing the final tally to 76-74. Dickey tried a last-second Hail Mary shot but it didn't go, ending the game.

UE upped its shooting nine points in the second half. The Aces finished the game shooting 35.8%.

Camary Williams finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Dickey had 19 total points while Brooke Dossett finished with 17 points.

Southeast will be back in action Friday against Louisiana-Lafayette to open play at the Southern Miss Lady Eagles Thanksgiving Tournament. Tipoff Friday is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. from Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
