Series History
Southeast Missouri leads the all-time series against Jacksonville State 12-5. The Redhawks are 7-1 against the Gamecocks in the Show Me Center; the lone home loss coming on Jan. 27, 2011 when JSU edged Southeast, 51-49. The Redhawks look to avenge last year's 70-34 road loss against the Gamecocks.

Let's Recap
Southeast Missouri finished its latest road trip going 1-1. Southeast earned an impressive come-from-behind victory at Morehead State on Thursday. Down by 13 in the third quarter, Southeast used a 28-point fourth quarter to slow a strong Eagle offense and surge with late offense en route to the 89-79 victory. The win at Morehead improved the Redhawks' record to a perfect 3-0 in Ohio Valley Conference play. Southeast's 3-0 record was the best since the 1998-99 season. Bri Mitchell led the way with 21 points, 13 of which coming in the final period. Corneisha Henderson had a career night, sporting 19 points in 27 minutes. The road trip ended with the Redhawks' first OVC loss. A 3-point bucket by Hannah Noe with 4:57 left to play in the game put the Redhawks up 13; however, it would be their last basket. Southeast was held scoreless for the final 4:57 as EKU went on a 14-0 run to snatch the win away from the Redhawks, 56-55. Imani Johnson tallied 14 points in the contest while Mitchell had 13. Adrianna Murphy came away with 10 points, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals in the game.

Looking at the Jacksonville State Gamecocks
Jacksonville State split a pair of OVC games, falling at Austin Peay before defeating Murray State, last week. Against the Racers, Jacksonville State got 43 points from its bench after junior Briana Benson registered a season-best 18 and freshman Rayven Pearson added 15 points off the bench. Sophomore Tyler Phelion recorded her second double-double of the year and third of her career against Murray State with 12 points and 12 rebounds. The Gamecocks shot 53 percent from the field in the second half against the Racers to finish the contest shooting 42 percent.

Looking Ahead
The Redhawks return to the road for a pair of games. The road swing will open at Tennessee Tech on Saturday. The Redhawks and Golden Eagles tip off at 5:30 p.m. from Cookeville. The Redhawks will then head to the preseason OVC favorites SIUE next Wednesday, Jan. 20. Both the Redhawks and SIUE currently hold a 3-1 record in league play this season.
