Final ResultsRICHMOND, Ky. - Southeast Missouri (1-18, 1-6) dropped a 7-0 decision to Eastern Kentucky (12-7, 7-1) in Ohio Valley Conference action Saturday morning.
Southeast, which has now lost nine in a row, was shutout for the fourth-straight time.
The Redhawks lost in straight sets at all six singles positions.
Mariya Kostyuk fell to Amanda Faouzi at No. 1,
Viviana Ortiz lost to Kristina Labeja at No. 2,
Kateryna Stoianova was defeated by Marina Marti at No. 3,
Maria Montenegro lost to Marcela Jimenez at No. 4,
Annisa Warasanti fell to Melissa Gerritsen at No. 5 and
Melissa Martin was beaten by Raquel Montalvo at No. 6
EKU won the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Gerritsen/Jimenez got by Warasanti/Stoianova (No. 2) and Marti/Montalvo defeated Montenegro and
Anna Makhneva (No. 3).
Southeast returns home for its final three matches of the season. The Redhawks open their homestand with a matchup against UT Martin on Apr. 7.
