CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri (1-16, 1-4) lost to SIU Edwardsville (10-8, 6-1) by a score of 7-0 Monday afternoon at the Redhawks Tennis Complex.

Mariya Kostyuk (No. 1), Kateryna Stoianova (No. 2), Viviana Ortiz (No. 3), Maria Montenegro (No. 4) and Melissa Martin (No. 6) each lost in straight sets during singles play. Annisa Warasanti (No. 5) also competed, but her match was retired.

Southeast lost at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, with Stoianova and Anna Makhneva falling to Sierra Halverson and Lexi Aranda, 8-3, and Warasanti and Montenegro losing to Monique Kurtak and Haley Ilcewicz, 8-1.

The Redhawks will look to snap a seven-match losing streak when they travel to Morehead State (Apr. 3) and Eastern Kentucky (Apr. 4).
