Final ResultsCAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri (1-14, 1-2) fell to Jacksonville State (3-10, 1-3) by a score of 5-2 Sunday afternoon at the Redhawks Tennis Complex.
Southeast, which played its first match at home this season, won at the No. 1 and No. 5 singles spots.
Mariya Kostyuk defeated Claudia Marsala in three sets, 6-7, 6-3, 7-6, at the top of the Redhawks lineup.
Annisa Warasanti then beat Danielle Kerindi, 7-6, 7-6, at No. 5.
Kateryna Stoianova also went three sets with Olivia Nguyen at No. 2 singles, but Nguyen came out on top, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2.
JSU clinched the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
The Redhawks, who have lost five in a row, continue their three-match homestand against SIU Edwardsville Mar. 27.
