Final ResultsMURRAY, Ky. - Southeast Missouri (1-10, 1-1) fell to Ohio Valley Conference preseason favorite Murray State (7-2, 1-0) by a score of 7-0 Sunday morning at Purcell Courts.
Southeast lost in straight sets at all six of the singles positions, as
Mariya Kostyuk (No. 1),
Kateryna Stoianova (No. 2),
Viviana Ortiz (No. 3),
Maria Montenegro (No. 4),
Anna Makhneva (No. 5) and
Annisa Warasanti (No. 6) formed the Redhawks lineup.
MSU completed the shutout with wins at all three doubles spots.
The Redhawks will play four matches during their upcoming spring break. Southeast visits Nicholls State (Mar. 17), Southeastern Louisiana (Mar. 18) and Northwestern State (Mar. 19) before returning to Cape Girardeau to host Jacksonville State (Mar. 22) in its home-opener.
