PDF ResultsNORMAL, Ill. – Southeast Missouri defeated Illinois State 192.625-191.575 in a dual meet Friday evening at Horton Field House.
Alyssa Tucker claimed her second all-around title of the season with a total of 38.700 while
Ashley Thomas finished second with a 38.375. The event victory marked the team-leading eighth of Tucker's career.

"Our performance tonight was exactly where we needed it to be. We had a few missteps but did not have to count a fall and that's been one of our focuses," head coach
Kristi Ewasko said. "Practice has been about having good routines on every event when it counts, and our team put together a solid showing tonight. I am proud of the fight this team shows every weekend to overcome whatever challenges are thrown at them."

The Redhawks began the meet on bars and scored 48.600, led by a season-high 9.775 from
McKenna Stanley.
Alexandria Stokes set a new season-best and tied a career-high with a 9.750.

Southeast then moved to vault, where the Redhawks posted a 47.850, highlighted by a career-best 9.850 by Thomas for the highest score of the meet. It was her sixth career event victory.
Chelsi Hamilton added a 9.625.

For the third rotation, Southeast moved to floor exercise. The Redhawks recorded a total of 47.975, led by a 9.750 by Tucker. Hamilton contributed with a 9.650.

To wrap up the meet, the Redhawks registered the second highest beam score of the season with a 48.200. Thomas tied another career-high with a 9.800. Tucker scored 9.750 while Hamilton finished at 9.650.

Thomas now has a team-high 15 scores of 9.700 or higher in 2015 and 31 in her career. Tucker has 14 such scores this season and a team-best 38 in her career.

Southeast will return to action next Friday, Feb. 13 at Arkansas in a 7 p.m. CT tri-meet that will also include Illinois State.
