COLUMBUS, Ohio – Southeast Missouri fell 195.650-192.475 in a dual at Ohio State Saturday afternoon at St. John Arena. The Redhawks scored at least 48.500 on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise.

"I'm really proud of our events tonight," head coach Kristi Ewasko said. "Our vault, bar and floor teams had minor mistakes that they fought and recovered from. Unfortunately, our beam team isn't hitting in competition like we do in practice. We will continue to make adjustments in practice and expect the beam team to keep working toward making it count in competition. Overall, we had good routines and season-high individual scores tonight, and I'm proud that we keep impacting the record books."

Southeast opened the meet on bars and scored 48.500, led by a 9.775 by Taylor Penzien, which was the second-highest score of the event. McKenna Stanley added a 9.750 while Lauren Israel recorded a 9.725.

In the next rotation, the Redhawks moved to vault, where they recorded a 48.500 total. Alexis Brawner tied for second in the event with a 9.825. Chelsi Hamilton notched a 9.750 while Bailey Walker scored 9.725.

Southeast registered a 48.525 total on floor exercise, paced by a career-high 9.800 by Jordan Clark and season-best 9.800 by Hamilton. Israel and Ashley Thomas both posted scores of 9.750.

The Redhawks concluded the meet on beam, where they finished with a 46.850. Hamilton scored a career-high 9.775 while Penzien tied a career-best with a 9.775 for the second straight meet.

Thomas finished fourth in the all-around with a total of 38.225.

Southeast will return to action on Friday, March 6 at 6:30 p.m. CT for the final home meet of the season.
