
Redhawks Open Regular Season Against Missouri-St. Louis

• Southeast opens the 2014 regular season against Missouri-St. Louis on Friday evening. The game will count as normal for Southeast and will be an exhibition for UMSL. The original start time of 6:30 p.m. was pushed back an hour to 7:30 p.m. as a result of recent high temperatures in Cape Girardeau.
• Southeast is facing Missouri-St. Louis for the first time in school history.
• The Redhawks played two exhibition games, falling 1-0 at Lipscomb on Aug. 11 and 3-1 at Saint Louis on Aug. 13.
• Southeast finished 8-7-3 in 2013, including a 6-2-2 mark in Ohio Valley Conference play, earning the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.
• Former Southeast forward Jessie Crabtree is now an assistant coach for Missouri-St. Louis. She played her final collegiate season for the Redhawks in 2011 and was named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year, earned first-team All-OVC honors and was placed on the OVC All-Newcomer Team after transferring from Missouri.

• The Redhawks will participate in the Air Force Academy Tournament in Colorado next weekend, facing UC Davis on Sept. 5 at 4 p.m. and Northern Colorado Sept. 7 at 1 p.m.
