Natasha Minor got the Redhawks on the board with a goal in the 69
th minute that was assisted by junior D
Paige Luehmann.

SLU took an early 1-0 lead on a goal from 10 yards out by Cristina Rodriguez in the 12
th minute. Kirsten Clemens scored a sliding goal from 12 yards out in the 34
th minute to increase the advantage to 2-0. After halftime, Danielle Tolmais added a goal in the 63
rd minute that was assisted by Lauren Tondl to push the lead to 3-0.

Minor found the net at the far post on a shot from outside the box after receiving a pass from Luehmann to get the Redhawks in the scoring column.

Southeast had another scoring chance in the 76
th minute on an attack by senior MF/F
Kasey Crowden, but SLU goalkeeper Tristin Stuteville made a nice save. Senior MF
Torey Byrd had a close shot in the 60
th minute but Stuteville turned her away.

The Redhawks finished with 11 total shots, including eight shots on goal. Crowden and Byrd both finished with two shots on target.

Southeast will open regular season play on Sunday, Aug. 24 at UT Martin. Start time is scheduled for 2 p.m. from Skyhawk Field.Â
