PDF Box ScoreNASHVILLE, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri women's soccer dropped a 1-0 contest at Lipscomb on Monday evening in the exhibition opener. The Redhawks recorded seven shots on goal but were unable to find the net. Alex Hickey of Lipscomb scored the game's only goal in the ninth minute on an assist from Shelby Auterhoff.
Jenna Collingridge posted a game-high three shots on goal for Southeast in 34 minutes of play.
In a game that was delayed nearly two hours before the start due to lightning, Southeast outshot Lipscomb 10-to-7, including 7-to-3 in shots on goal.
Ashley Brendel notched two shots on goal in 68 minutes of action.
True freshman goalkeeper
Kindra Lierz made two saves, both coming in the first half. The Redhawks defense prevented any shots in the second half. Goalie Anna Buhigas collected seven saves for Lipscomb, including five in the second half.
Southeast completes its exhibition schedule on Wednesday with a 5 p.m. start at Saint Louis University. The regular season begins with a 2 p.m. matchup at UT Martin on Sunday, Aug. 24.
