Tennis Opens Three-Match Road Stretch Friday

The Redhawks hit the road for three matches this weekend
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Fresh off a two-week break, the Southeast Missouri (1-2) women's tennis team returns to action when it hits the road for three-straight matches this weekend. The Redhawks visit Butler Friday, IUPUI Saturday and Western Kentucky Sunday.

Southeast looks to end a two-match losing streak after falling to Iowa State and Northern Iowa on Jan. 24.

The Redhawks will first stop in Indianapolis to face both Butler and IUPUI. The Bulldogs are 1-3, while IUPUI is currently 0-5 this season. Southeast then caps the weekend with a trip to Western Kentucky, which is 1-0 after beating Southern Indiana on Feb. 2.

Annisa Warasanti presently leads the Redhawks with a 2-1 dual singles record. Both of Warasanti's victories came at the No. 5 position in the lineup. She has won seven of her last 10 singles matches. Ekaterina Donetskova, Valeriia Kashina, Melissa Martin, Valeriia Nagovitcina and Heather Robinson have also scored one singles win in dual competition this year.
